Aeroflo users/owners... PLEASE HELP!!! Aeroflo grommet direction????

I'm replacing my 1 1/4" grommets for my tubes and after I got them out, I realized I don't know which direction they should face. One end is flat, the other is thicker with a taper.

Please help.

Thanks.

Hmmm I don't think it matters, these are the grommets for the overflow tube right? The tube you use for the h2o height that you can adjust right? in that case I dont think it matters, I think these are UNISEAL brand grommets, or at least these uniseals are what I am gonna use for my aeroflo design, there great items that Ive found btw...

The ones that came with my unit were GH brand grommets and I bought
replacements from my local hydro store for a buck or two. I don't think it
matters though which way they face, but I always had mine with the pipe
going into the flat side and coming out the tapered side which was inside
the res.

You're talking about the grommet towards the floor used for plugging the pump into?

Thanks for the replys guys/girls.

Sic setup Dis. Splitting the 60 like that and with the duelie res!!!!

I have mine (grommets)with the flat side in the tubes and the taper outside (the oppsite of how you've got'em???)

No leaks so good enough for me.

Thanks again...

Hey Dis-

One more question for you.. What's your pump/watering schedule like. Are you a 24/7 guy or a 1 minute on/four minutes off person?

Thanks again...

Yeah, I don't really think it matters which way as long as the
seal between the pipe and the res are good.

I don't currently run my aeroflos anymore as I'm working with
under current now. I tried both ways when I owned it and both
gave very similar results. At first I ran 24/7 cuz I didn't know any
better, the next round I did I got a cap timer and results were
very similar.
