The general consensus of "just be patient" is good advice. Follow it.

Don't worry about hermi.......someone is smoking too much of his own stuff.

Your glands (crystals, trichs.....) are still underdeveloped, and the hairs (pistils) are still new and no real calyx "expansion" as of yet.

The color of the hairs is most likely genetic, I agree with Gee Tee.

A little trick is to try and pinch a couple hairs. They should give resistance before breaking off/pulling out. Dead hairs will come out no resistance. I usually wait until the ratio of:

dead hairs (red/orange)
TO
live hairs (white or white with purple streaks in your case)

is about 60:40 then I start my flush cycle, straight ph'd water for a week or so. Then..................I get really stoned after that.

Sweet thing about what I said about you smoking too much of your own stuff..........here, in this forum, that is not necessarily a bad thing.
I can't wait to see the finished product myself. :weed:

Awesome. Thanks all. Let's keep up this thread. I need to sign my posts with my journal, so you can follow it there. I think. lol. I'm out of it right now. Washed some dishes, making some fried potato's right now, cause I am hungry, and I have no quick food lol.

So I have another question? Is my humidity too low? And it is affecting the plant's growth? The humidity ranges from 15 or so up to a max of 39%. My water jug is not helping. Should I mist the plants with a spray bottle?

Humidity should be more like 40-60 at this point. I bought a humidifier at walmart for $25, but not sure if that's in your budget. DO NOT mist the plants during flowering you need to keep those buds good and dry to prevent bud rot. I'd say another 3-4 weeks. The plant will put on lots of weight towards the end of flowering, so don't cut yourself short after all the hard work!

Hey Norcal Grower, thanks for the advice!! I'm glad you said don't mist. I was thinking I shouldn't but had to be sure. Just had to. I want to do this right. I am beginning to believe that I do have enough lumens in there. I have 8 lights. Each is at least 1600 lumens. So that's over 10,000 lumens. So, now I have to figure out why all my leaves died. If you check out my journal, you will see that Estella is a shadow of her former self. She was this smoking hot chick, and then, she went bald, and it was really bad. lol. Seriously, she was bushy as all get out. I don't know why the leaves died. But I flushed it the other day. I need a pH pen, I am GOING to get one next payday. And maybe a humidifier too. It's not in the budget right now, but next week it will just have to be. I didn't come this far, to be wasted and have my butt kicked by low humidity or bad pH lockout. See, I bought a pH checker, for aquariums, it was all I could find locally. And it said my tap water was 6.8. And I use FF BB. So those should be ok. But I think I still ended up with pH lockout because I never flushed her. She's been growing for a about 3 months now, and I never flushed her. I didn't nute her until after the 30 day mark. So she has 2 months worth of build up. BAD BAD BAD. I just know it. The aquarium pH tester kit is color coded. So I don't know what the actual pH is of the runoff. Because the runoff has color to it, and I believe it taints the test. At least that's what I read in another post. So, I need a pen. I need to know what the pH is. Hafta.
So, I am realizing something. If this is just the beginning of my buds forming, they are going to be really good size!! I think I might be able to get 2 OZ. out of this plant!!!! If I can, that would be AWESOME!! Because it would give me plenty until I can grow and harvest another one. I am growing just 1 at a time. The reason I am thinking 2 oz is because I hefted one of the cola's today, and boy she was heavy. And they just started. Now I do realize there is a ton of water weight, most likely. I take that into consideration. And maybe some stem in there? Not sure how that works. Does the bud have a big stem running through the "middle" of it? Or do the buds form on the end of the stem? Knowing what I know of plants in general, I would have to say, no stem running through the middle of the bud? But I have like 4 main cola's. And if they weight a total of about 12 oz now, and they are just starting to grow.......plus all the other smaller buds.......I should get 2 oz. I think. What do you all think??

Question? When I nute, I have only been using about 1 tablespoon. For about 3/4 of a gallon of water. I give the plant the whole 3/4 gallon. The instructions on the FF BB bottle (at 1/3/7) call for 4 tablespoons. So have I not been giving the plant enough nutes? Could that be why the leaves are dying? BB is very low on N. I should have used a veg. nute to start with, and then when I switched to 12/12, started using BB. So tonight, I gave it 3 tablespoons (well, 3 capfuls) of BB. Will see. Also, I get a ton of runoff it seems. Is that normal? I was thinking the water would stay in the soil a bit better. But when I water, I get about half of the water in there, and it starts to pool up on the top of the soil. Then it comes running out the bottom. Could I possibly be overwatering? I water about every 3 days. The thing is, I don't water until the leaves look droopy. And that's usually about every 3 days. I nute every other watering. Any help/advice would be appreciated. I would hate for my plant to die at this point, she is just starting to bud out, and actually beginning to have a smell to her that smells oh so good.

Here is an update. I took fresh pics tonight, of the overall cola's. More or less. And I took one of the soil. This is how it looks after I watered it last night. Not that it will help I suppose, but I wanted to include it anyway. I am still concerned about my pH.
Check this out. I wanted to order a pH tester today. So I started searching the net. Then, I found a hydro store about 150 miles away, and I was like hmmm.. But the gas to get there and back, plus food, would be much cheaper to order online. So, I went to the bank atm, to deposit some cash, so I could order online. I keep my check account low so the bank can't rip me off. I don't trust banks one bit. Slimeballs. Anyway, I get to the ATM, and it says to me: Sorry. We can't take anymore cash at this time. Damn!!!!
Here is some bud! (sorry looking that it is right now. sigh).

I am hoping my plant has enough nutrients to make it to the end of the flowering cycle. I would hate to lose her at this point. Would be a huge waste of plant and time and effort, and...and....and. i might cry. roflmao. well, i might dammit lol. I like this plant. I've grown quite attached to it. lol.
