im growing 2 plants, theyre 3rd week in veg and about 6 inches tall under 150w hps +2 26w cfls for more side lighting, is it to late to LST? if so would it still grow good using no grow method???

It is not too late to LST and that is plenty of light to grow two plants without any grow method but if height is a problem I would either top them or LST.

thanks for the quick reply dude. yea theyre doin great and have no streching issues, and leaves are all green, no heat stress or nute dif. watsoever. but i got plenty of vertical space and not so much of a horzontal space, but still got enough of it, id say 2 1/2 feet of horizontal space and about 4 feet of vertical space. if i flowered in 3rd week of veg would it be wayyy less than if i vegged for 4 ?

Yes, 3rd week of veg is probably WHEN a grower would LST.

You didn't mention how large your plant is right now. But for an example to help you understand:
Say your plant is 1 foot tall now. You switch to a flowering schedule tonight. In the end your plant will approximately triple in size to 4 feet tall.

And yes, if you don't LST it will still grow "good".
By introducing low stress training, your plant will branch out with multiple bud sites, instead of one really big one in the middle.

Lol. Don't you hate when someone is telling you something that is wrong? Sorry bout that bro.

Of course it will help in yield. When a plant is left un-topped or trained, it will grow into a plant with one giant cola in the middle. By topping or LSTing, you will end up multiplying your One cola into as many colas as you have fan leaves. Bend it down slightly. Just a little bit. So its about half as tall as it used to be. And by bend, I mean tie it down with a slight bend

Lost my train of thought by walking away from the computer.

dont even need to bend its called zst= zero stress test. Put the pot on one side and since plants grow toward the light just wait till it is completely pointed at the light and then put a steak in the ground and turn it a bit more or however you want it to bend make sure that side is facing the light.

its ight we all done mistakes before. i know how to lst but i have one in a pot that was trimmed down because most of the surface of the pot was blockin out light to my plant cuz i transplanted it real quick and didnt put enought dirt in the pot if that makes sense? :p

but wen i go to bend the plant the big fan leaves touch the soil, what should i do bout that? :/
