I don't know if you know this or not, but most of the time in the military you get to shower alone, Yeah they actually have single person showers now. The only service that is still using old school open Squad bays for living quarters are the Marines. The rest of the services have small 2-4 man rooms now with refrigerators and Cable TV. People take turns using the head now, just like in civilian life.
