you could force it to herm (produce male flowers on an otherwise female plant) which would give you seed, however the risks involved with forcing hermaphroditic traits are perpetuating those traits. in other words if the pollen came from a hermaphrodite, the offspring are more likely to be a hermaphrodite themselves. you will get all females and hermaphrodites. seed companies that sell all female seeds usually stress test the batches with common grow room stresses, to weed out plants that could seed otherwise untainted sinsimilla.

a feminized seed needs pollen from the male to make it hermie then it will produce seeds that would be considered feminized i think...

Wrong. You don't need a male for a female to go hermie. A normal female plant won't do seeds unless it's pollinated by a male, OR...unless it hermies and pollinates itself.

sho nuff rambler. a female is two x chromosomes. a male is an x and a y. male parents can donate an x or a y chromosome to the seed. females can only donate x's to the seed, thus if a female flips around and drops some bananas, all the seeds will be two x chromosomes, all female. the male plants can turn hermie too, but most people don't wait long enough with males to find out. not sure if males can turn hermie strong enough to create seed, but if they could it would be regular, not feminized.

Shit, I've learned if you just look at them the wrong way, sometimes they'll hermie.

Short answer yes. You can mess up the light cycle, or do any number of things. I've never actually tried to hermie a plant. I thought the general idea was NOT to. :)

so will fucking up their light cycle or leaving them an extra couple weeks past prime. why use crazy chemicals to do the same thing? IMO
