Seriously, there are lot's of good threads about all the popular extraction methods. You want everyone to post all that shit again here in your thread?
Here's a tip to get you started: Butane (DONE OUTDOORS) will yield the most potent extract safely achievable by folks with no chemistry background. Search BHO or Honey Oil.

ice extract hash.
let it dry.
pour 1/4 inch of 91% isoprophyll or higher into a glass pie pan.
dump about 1/8 cup dry hash into the alcohol and crush it up with a fork.
swirl it and let it sit for a few minutes (5 or so).
pour contents of pie pan into another bowl and rinse the debris out into the other bowl
using as little alcohol as possible (the more you use the longer it takes to evaporate).
clean the pie pan out with water and wipe dry.
pour the slurry back into the glass pie pan through 2 (two) paper coffee filters. again rinse the debris out into
the filter using as little alcohol as possible.
let it drip through (patience) until there is room to tightly twist the top of the filters and lightly squeeze the alcohol out.
once the liquid is gone, press the debris in the filters to squeeze out as much remaining alcohol as you can.
i help the evaporation by placing the plate on my stovetop and turning the oven on the bake at 300degrees F.
to be clear DONT DIRECTLY HEAT THE PAN WITH THE ALCOHOL IN IT. use the residual heat that rises from the oven.
in one or two hours it should be reduced enough to start scraping together.
once the alcohol is gone, i use a metal two inch putty knife to scrape it out of the pan
then i scrape that onto a paring knife and put it in the freezer. from the freezer into your glass recepticle.
i use a glass vial for storage.
remember that the alcohol is 10% water, so leave the lid off for a few days once the
alcohol is gone to let the water go away.
enjoy.

I have made oil two ways. The first was what is called refluxing, where you boil a non-polar solvent in a sealed aparatus, and condense it back down through your plant matter. Worked really well, however we used 99% pure isopropyl and found that it isn't such a great non-polar solvent. Ended up with a lot of impurities, and it wasn't all that strong. After researching there are several methods to further refine the stuff we got, but they require proper non-polar solvents like petroleum ethers or chloroform, which are difficult to obtain without research licenses and/or extremely dangerous.
The next method we tried, and the one we still use, is to extract with butane. This is something heavily documented online, just do a google or youtube search for butane hash oil. The butane gets fairly pure. A drop will get you high, and 2-3 drops smoked through a wang will hit me so hard I can't open my eyes for 5-10 minutes. A gram can keep two of us high for over a week straight. It certainly could be refined further if you could get your hands on some of the better chemicals, but is much more concentrated than the stuff we refluxed.

So in your opinion the 99% iso isn't something you would do again? i have two bottles of the stuff but dont want to waste my weed.

well, I have read other reports of people being happy with the iso oil, but yeah, my experience with refluxing was not nearly as successful as butane, and it was way more complicated. With butane I can have oil in less than an hour
The acetone is good too. I used to know a guy who made extracted hash using it, and I watched him a few times. warning though, the way you reflux is in a sealed aparatus, and is relatively safe. This method scared the shit outta me
He'd take acetone, and dump in ground up weed (I'm sure trim works the same way). this would go on a hot plate outside, and he'd bring it to a light boil, stirring frequently. This heated for around an hour if I remember correctly. Then he'd bring the heat down so it wasn't boiling, and it would begin to separate. The carbon and similar material would sink, the oil would make a film on the top. At this point you could scrape off the oil and evaporate the acetone to get pure oil. He would take a small amount of the carbon that settled out and used it to bond the oil, resulting in a super potent black sticky hash.
edit: acetone sounds scarry, but isn't quite as bad as you think. It's less toxic than most solvents (it occurs naturally in the body in small amounts). However, it is one of the more flammable solvents you can easily buy, so if you use it be careful. Same with butane, most butane methods you are basically holding a pipe bomb, and it's leaking

I have made keif hash and bubble hash before and was just curious about the ISO method because i had some 99% on hand.

2 foot by 1 inch copper pipe
1 inch copper pipe cap
a emergency candle
2 cofee filters and rubber bands
duct tape
Pyrex dish
1 pot of water to boil
and 1 can of butane i use vector 5 times filtered

as is the endothermic reaction causes a swelling of the moister and cause a plug in the pipe potentially causing a makeshift pipe bomb so please DO THIS OUTSIDE ALWAYS

Process:
The dryer the material you use the better, and grind your shtuff up
as your doing this drill a hole in the copper cap that fits one of the adapters that comes with your butane can
light up the stove start to bowl up a pot of water ( the pot should be the same diameter of the dish)
stick the pyrex dish on the pot
stuff the pipe helps to have a ream of sorts
take the cap you just drilled after stuffing the pipe onto one end of the pipe
light the emergency candle and wax the copper cap to the pipe and ductape around the wax
stick the adapter your using into the cap and make sure its a tight fit if you have to tape it so be it
take a towel and wrap the pipe thick like 3 inches thick near the capped end
grab the coffee filters and rubber bands and fasten the filters to the open end very tightly
turn the stove off take your pan and dish outside
grab your pipe and butane bottle and hold it directly over the center of the dish 3 inches
stick your butane in and empty the whole bottle through
this liquid that comes out will bubble like nothing you ever seen as the butane evaporates off wait 40 seconds after the pipe is spent and the diish is bubbling
blow on bubbles that form to pop them
bring inside set burner on ultra low stick pot back on burner wait 5 min the scrap and collect oil into center of dish
Voila BHO

yo, if you ice extract the hash first so you have no plant matter, there will be next to no impurities.
of course if you use Isoprophyl on plant material it's gonna pull chlorophyl out.

2 things. First off, where do you get 99% Iso alcohol. I have never seen anything stronger than 91% anywhere for sale.
second, the person did things strangely for iso which may be why they were disapointed. You don't boil it or anything like that. For Iso you just put the plant matter in a jar, pour in a bit of alcohol, shake it up good for less than one minute then strain out the alcohol into a flat tray and let the alcohol evaporate and scrape up the hash remains afterwords.

What about soaking the plant material in cold water first? I know that that will remove a lot of the chlorophyll. I do it before I make butter. But of course you'd have to wait for your plant matter to dry out again before using it I suppose

true tinyTURTLE, but iso taste like shit compared to bho.. Even if you use just hash. ive already tried this numerous times. iso still melts all the resin shafts and all the parts you dont want.. ALL you want is resin HEADS.. Not everything else. only way to get pure resin from inside the heads is bho. Iso melts the entire tricome, instead of just the resin head were the thc is located. Youll get high either way, but taste wise, bho is far superior.
