Not trying to jack your thread LBG but thought as though we are using the same panels and you seem pretty busy I'd throw in my $.02
@rob1234 you want to pick and led grow light ideally as LED's can have a very specific spectrum. Usually good LED grow light focus on the Red and Blue spectrum which is the spectrum most used by Chlorophyl A & B which is what makes your plants grow. The good lights seem to have a little white and UV for overall plant heath and to inhibit mould.
Biggest issue with LED's is penetration which is why a lot of LED's have problems with bud density. TWO biggest things to look for in LED's is the wattage of the individual chipsets and lens angle.
An LED grow light that is 150W but all 1W LED's (so 150 LED's total) just won't penetrate like 150W with 3W LED's (so 50 LED's total). Basically the watts per m sq drops off dramatically with the lower powered LED's and they are largely useless once you get about 12" from the panel whereas 3W LED's put up decent numbers even up to 4 ft from the panel with the real high quality ones. This is also contingent on LENS ANGLE. Lens angle is how focused the light is comming off the individual LED's. Think of it like how good the reflector is with an HID. I've seen 120 degree lens angle LED's which basically throw light everywhere and the lack of focus means reduced penetration. My personal preference is 60 or 90 lens angle with 90 providing good coverage over a larger area which is good for shorter plants and the 60 degree provides better penetration in a smaller area so good for taller plants.
As for where to get a good led light....that's the million dollar question and that's why so many of us are intently watching the outcome of these grows
I bought mine at the same place as ledbudguy but I'm gonna run bigger plants and looking for higher powered units for flowering as I'll need more penetration. Must say that I've been impressed as hell with this grow so far. For a restriced grow space and only 850W I'm gonna guess it will easily put up HID gram per watt numbers so guess we'll see
