Can anyone explain why it's okay to discuss breeding, like Subcool does, and sell the seeds legitimately while it is against the rules to pass out seeds for free?
Didn't Subcool distribute some F1 genetics as testers to members of this site not long ago? I could swear I remember reading about that.
I crossed Big Bud and Mr. Nice I got as bag seeds from Greenway Dispensary in Santa Cruz, CA. Makes for some pretty plants. Is it wrong for me to say that??? When I'm growing it currently?
I'm pretty WTF about it too. I can't see a reason why two people couldn't share seeds. Of course it's illegal. So is growing pot and yet that's what this site is for. Why draw the line there? Why? Why? Why?
Why is it a rule to begin with? That's what sounds stupid to me.
If someone sells something illicit on Craigslist they don't shut the site down. Hell, it used to be hooker central in states where prostitution is illegal. They made the moral decision to remove the section from their site, but it isn't like they had to.
Maybe if a paid administrator was schlepping seeds. That'd make sense to be a no-no. I'm not buying the reasons why I couldn't share seeds with someone else I met here. Even if I happened to meet them in my own "Post here for free seeds" thread.

this site is simply for "information only". all sales, trades, give aways are done OUTSIDE of this site. due to legal reason we can not allow people to "hook up" thru this site. if you would like to see the site shut down, then continue to openly trade.
we are not out to get you.

just want ya to know im not trading seeds, just dont feel like getting bashed in the forum have been having a hard time getting seeds mature without the thc starting to degrade they take so long to get dark

I didn't throw anyone under the bus. Hell, I just spent $30 on Subcool's book "Dank". I've got nothing against the guy at all.
Maybe you're thinking that what I said was meant to be a kind of "taddling." What I'm trying to say is that people are speaking for the site Administrators.
Until I see it in writing, a document that states we are not allowed to publicly offer seeds for free on this forum, then I'm undecided. I can't understand why one website, RIU, would get shut down when another website, Craigslist, gets to stay open for business. If these rules are in place for a reason then why are some members, like Subcool, allowed to break them while others are not?
Seems like quite the double-double standard. Where's the Internet police anyway? Is it the site host who owns the servers? Really, does anyone know facts with some documentation or are we just spewing rhetoric, hearsay, and rumor? I really don't know. It's an honest question.
