THE PREPETUAL GARDEN GROWERS THREADxxx

Hey folks!

I haven't read every post in the thread yet so forgive me if this has been brought up. I'll be going over the thread with a fine tooth comb over the next few days, so I'll be caught up by the end of the weekend.

I run a perpetual grow, I currently have "mothers" for 15 strains and spots in my garden for 12 plants. Rather than keeping a bonsi mother for each strain I LST my plants in veg and take a clone just before putting it in flower. This way I only have 15 plants/clones in veg rather than 30. It might not work well for just a few strain but if you keep a lot of strains going this method makes keeping a mother chain easy.

Kali Mist
Bubblegum
Strawberry Diesel
Big Laughing
Jilly Bean
Jack The Ripper
Pandora's Box
Chemdog
Cheese
Blueberry
Northern Lights
Super Silver Haze
Strawberry Cough
Trainwreck
White Widow
**edit: Jack Flash (Sensi's Jack Herer cross, forgot about that one. 16 strains with Agent Orange, Querkle and The Flav germing after Christmas. I love the variety, I've got two Volcano bags and I like filling each with a different strain and shotgunning back and forth. Really can tell the difference in tastes then, Bubblegum and Jilly Bean are my favorites so far.)

There are a lot of seedbanks that would kill for that lineup.

That's just not even right..........kiss-ass

Timing is tough with a perpetual grow, keeping the garden full and not having too many full size plants in veg at the same time. How does everyone do it? I'm often down to 1/2 of my flower garden empty or too many fully trained plants in my veg room, no room.

I run different strains, but they all have similar growth characteristics, flowering times, etc. - that helps out a lot.

With your variety (of flowering times and growth characteristics), that seems like a damn near impossible task.*

* But I'd be willing to give it a shot in exchange for some Cali Mist

Bob I've been just popping a plant in flower when it's trained and there's an open spot in the flower garden, but like I said earlier there are always times of open spots (sometimes for weeks) and of too many plants. I use a 10,000K 125W VHO floro to keep the plants short in veg, or a 150W 2100K HPS to push them to veg quicker (stretch); straight water after letting them wilt slightly when I don't want them to grow and fertilize them when I do. That's about all I've got for controlling the speed of my veg plants.

Kali Mist is my favorite strain, absolutely beautiful.

I added more strains into the mix over the last week.
Germinating and Sprouted: The Church, Skunk #1, Hashplant x haze (all feminized)

Germinating: Kushberry x skunk, and OG18 x Skunk (reg. seeds)

Funny how timing was brought up as being a concern for all of us perpetual growers. Thats really the last thing I have to nail down. I started more clones than I thought Id need, glad I did. .........rather have too many than too few :weed:

when push comes to shove keep clones with the better root structure

Great thread idea. I was wondering about a thread like this, for us perpetual guys, just the other day.

Just started my Perpetual grow!!....
Me too. I finally got some clones and a few fem seeds (my seeds finally arrived the same day i got my clones lol). My goal is one plant in/out of flower every 10 or 11 days.

400w MH + 2 bulb T5 HO for Veg/seedlings and a 600w HPS for flower. The flower room will be real empty pretty soon. 3 of them have been flowering for 63 - 66 days. I hope to finally learn how to clone successfully, or just buy more clones and fem seeds when my veg box gets low. :hump:
