Yikes, that's an extreme price for something that is so
obviously made from parts accessible from home depot.
I'm willing to bet you can EASILY build this unit for under
400 bucks including light/hood/digitballast.

I would also look into a recirculating system as it will help
keep your nutes better mixed up and help with balancing
your PH and PPMS in just a matter of moments.

I think I will just build it myself.

do your calculations carefully, actually i find this to be not bad a deal. i doubt that yoou can build i for 400 and with the work and mess ups it could add up to more than the given price. its got 2 bulbs MH and HPS 4 pumps 2 control res + 4 grow res + 4 airpumps add all accessories and add the value of a pre made system i think you got yourself a good deal IMO. now of course if you want to bulid everything you will save some, but that's including building a reflector and res, and not buying rubbermaid totes and reflector from home depot...

I agree you can find a 1000W MH/HPS on ebay for about 350. Plus you are getting a pretty nice cooled light hood. I actually think this system if made by you would cost 600-700 so the price isnt bad ... I would still do it my self just to make it the way I wanted it. I would also use a igloo ice chest for my reservoir because under that 1000W its going to get real hot and you want those reservoir temps 58-68 degrees... And you might want to look into a nice big fan to cool the light something 500-700 CFM.

I would suggest to make your own for more than half the price.... Very simple to construct....
I am sure most of the material can be found at your local hardware store... ( Home Depot)

Things You Will Need:
-6 Rubbermaid "ruff neck" containers
-1 submerge water pump
-24 net basket pots
-10 feet of 1/2 inch tubing
-10 feet of 10mm tubing
-Irrigation tubing and fittings
-1 float used for swamp coolers
-4 air pumps with air stones
And a couple other little things.... I would mos def build this setup my self... Very simple.... Good Luck
