A while after it was released many people here were saying how fantastic The Church was so I had to see if I agreed with them or not so I grew it once. It was easy to grow, wasn't nute sensitive, it produced well but not great, the buds were dense but not rock hard, I did not have any hermi problems and I did not have any mold problems. When it comes to potency I would say it falls right in with about one third of all the other strains that are basically the same percentage of indica and sativa, meaning roughly average for professional produced genetics. It's claimed to have a 16.8% THC level, which I believe to be about what it is.
It will never win a Cup in any competition but for people with a lower budget for beans it is what I call a 'value strain.' What you get in return for what little you pay it is not a bad value, but you will not be smoking something like Black Widow or White Russian or Medicine Man or AK47 etc.
It is like several other strains in Arjan's line. Not top grade genetics but if someone has a lower bean budget what you get in return for what you pay is not a bad value. But you have to accept that it, as with the others, are only average grade for professional genetics.
