Police said they seized large amounts of marijuana, hash oil and cash during the raid.

The business, which advertises on websites such as Weedmaps.com, offers a variety of medical marijuana and services such as delivery and “express lane” pickup.

Tuesday’s raid was the latest in a number of high-profile crackdowns on medical marijuana facilities in southern Nevada.

"Leave aside for a moment the absurdity of the government ban on marijuana remaining illegal. It still makes no sense Nevada law permits the use of marijuana for medical purposes, but denies patients the most convenient and commonly accepted way of obtaining the drug: buying it. Under Nevada state law, patients may smoke or otherwise ingest marijuana with a doctor's prescription, and may grow small amounts of the plant themselves. But they may not purchase the plant for "consideration," the way they purchase every single other drug they may use, from Bayer to prescription medication. The oversight was undoubtedly obvious, inasmuch as Nevada didn't want to attract too much attention from federal law enforcement."

I'll wait to hear the rest of the story before I take sides here. If they were a real dispensary, the shame on LV Metro. If they were just a front from illegal sales then shame on them for giving legal medical in NV a "black eye".

Stupidity of the way the law is written aside - dispensaries are illegal in Nevada. Any sales or donations or whatever you want to call it is being offered for consideration and that's is not OK in NV

NRS 453A.300 Acts for which registry identification cardholder is not exempt from state prosecution and may not raise affirmative defense; additional penalty.
(f)Delivering marijuana for consideration to any person, regardless of whether the recipient lawfully holds a registry identification card issued by the Division or its designee pursuant to NRS 453A.220 or 453A.250. [http://www.leg.state.nv.us/nrs/NRS-453A.html#NRS453ASec300]
But wait! The Nevada Constitution says this:

Sec. 38. Use of plant of genus Cannabis for medical purposes.
1. The legislature shall provide by law for:
(e) Authorization of appropriate methods for supply of the plant to patients authorized to use it. [http://leg.state.nv.us/Const/NVConst.html#Art4Sec38]
As I have said many times before - it appears the only thing the legislature provided was a loophole to throw patients through. Not really surprising. A politician can only be trusted to do one thing: talk out of both sides of their mouth.

I'm from Cali, not Nevada. I lived there from 1999-2001 in Pahrump, Nye County. At that time the simple posession of a seed was a felony punishable by state prison. Idk if this still holds true for anyone there, but they don't F*** around. Gaming and drugs are a dangerous mix. Alcohol is of course accepted and condoned, but if you smoke that Devil Weed you may just try to become a corrupt loan-shark that breaks people's bones to collect your/their money! Sorry, getting it off my chest. I gave a pipe to a buddy when I lived there and that very night he got into an argument with his girlfriend at the Gamecock Blvd Terrible Herbst Casino and went home. When he got his pipe out and loaded a bowl he began walking to his brother's house to smoke a bowl. As he walked out the door he got blinded by lights and his hand was grabbed as he tried to toss the pipe. It was Nye Co SO and it was all over. He was an ex-felon(non-drug crime, actually justice) and he got REAMED! I was in Pahrump in 2004 and the pipe(a metal piece with a ceramic stem cover decorated with the Grateful Dead skull) was still in the walk in lobby of the sub-station.

Sorry, back on topic.... Can a group of patients distribute meds to others @ cost? Rent, electric, nutes, etc? I mean I understand the intent of the law, not wanting the wild west of dispensaries that is now here in Cali. There are some GREAT ones, and there are profiteers. ALL industry has these to one extent or another.

I'm thinking that the state doesn't have the right to keep you from paying your budtenders, growers, etc. for services rendered? Like mowing your lawn? So, if EVERYONE'S compensation is a % split of any extra, or "profit" that is left then there technically IS NO PROFIT.? Instead of paying the landlord $XXXX/month, he receives 10% of any extra. This relies on trust, which is rare today. If I have mites and barely break even this month, there's no extra money for rent. If I try a new nute line and there is a 50% increase in yield, you get a NICE rent check.

I'm no lawyer, just throwing an idea/theory out there. This is how I envision a true collective working(per the advice of my attorney). I would rather see an overgrow-type movement that makes it absolutely undeniable to all, but there is a path that must be followed. Rome was not built in 1 day.

BTW, on a visit to bring him cigs he told me he had become a trustee and was told to clean out the patrol cars. He found more weed in the back seat of the cop cars than he would have EVER hoped to find on the street!

That's what a co-op is... you can only charge your customers what it cost to grow it... not making any profit.

In a perfect world without greed this is how I would imagine it being right now.
