Hello everyone happy holidays ! Ok so I always stay on 12/12 in flowering stage all the way to the end I'm growing a strain called canterbury green and have heard the last 2 weeks in flowering you can go to 10/14 light schedule . I want to try this because we all tinker around to find out what works best I'm going into week 7 so next Monday I can start the 10/14 if it will benefit my girls in anyway. So what do you all think I should do stay 12/12 or do the 10/14 and any info on this as well would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone peace

hey bro ne strain can go under 12 hrs theres just no point in doing it less time in the light means less buds

what i mean to say is ne plant will bud on 10 hrs or even 8 i would imagine

Based on my experience: The longer your dark period, the sooner you will harvest but you will also have less in weight. 12/12 is used for a reason. If you need to harvest an 8-week variety in say 48-days then you could increase the dark cycle by an hour or hour and a half. But you will get lighter smaller buds by doing it.

I always run 12/12 all the way through I'm just try'n to see why people switch the last 2 weeks in flowering and would it benefit my ladies . There has to be a reason for people doing this and from what I have read a lot of people do switch to a 10/14 the last week to finish up. I have heard because ofcourse you want to try and simulate natural conditions the plant would go through outside.thank you for the fast reply anyone else??

I thought that the plant needs at least 12hrs of darkness going with 15 on last couple weeks is something I will have to read up on . I just have heard a lot of people doing the 10/14 and if the reason is so the ladies finish faster but with less weight that's something I wouldn't do not in a rush.
