Yeah, I Can't take all of the credit this thread was inspired by Milly, Zenith, 80 MG, and my own plant thread. But Thanks, I think its serving its purpose and I like it thanks for the REP

What do YOU think is the best form of household grower methods around?
as far as beneficial to the plant, max yield, potency, ETC...

Hahahaha even though if you're an indoor grower you will swear by hps/mh lights... im going to stand up for the cfl growers out there and claim that cfls may have had one of the biggest impacts in mj cultivation simply because how easy it is to get started... speaking of which I got the cannabis grow bible in the mail last night. Its going to be my main reference for my grows... and after reading the first page I knew it was the right book.. the author starts off speaking about symbiosis and the way living things depend on each other... I highly recommend the book if you guys want to get serious about growing.. but anyways for those of us who have to keep things on the down low (me) cfls allow you to grow large amount of marijuana with relative ease.. im at work so so updated post later

Im a sucker for the ingenuity of indoor growing, no matter what the source of light may be. I was drawn to CFL because Im on a budget not a TIGHT one but a hobby budget, and these lights are no where near the $$$ of the HPS shit. You can get these lights in and around branches and damn near rest it on the plant without causing damage. You can dedicate a closte space, a wall unit, a dresser, or a fucking toybox. seriously try that with those big ass lights. Large scale operation prolly not a good idea, but for OUR type of grower be it stealth or i got a seed maybe itll grow project, Its top of the line.

Further more I Just inspired my self to make a grow box, Not sure what im gonna use yet but IM ON IT LIKE BLUEBONNET. Seriously this is gonna be looking manufatcured in a fucking factory by little vietnamese kids making hundreds of em a day!!!!

Help me out guys what do you think would be the ideal box to start.

Im talking like maybe 4x2x4 Box...

I tried making a box and I my biggest problem if you plan to have it closed with doors is just making sure it doesn't get too hot, and if you have to be stealthy then making sure it is light proof.

After you figure that out, I'd decide how many plants you would like to grow, and how long you want to grow each plant (since vertical space will become an issue). I think 4x2x4 is plenty big enough for 8-12 plants in 1 - 2.5 gallon pots. However, if you would grow that many, that's a LOT of CFLs.. probably 12-20 of them. I'd even look into the 2' flouroescent lights like the kinds in ceilings and put those on the sides..

Some people just buy used dressers and have a fuckin DIY party and strip it naked and then you can actually make a VEG and FLOWER chamber and have a harvest every couple of weeks.. It basically depends on how much money you want to spend..

Yeah I'm not on a super stealth mission but I think my only issue would be the heat/air flow. but you know that Regular flourecent doesnt sound like a bad idea like two ballasts on each side then like 6 cfls on top. man that would be DOPE.... I think im gonna drop a cool Benjamin on it, hit up goodwill and my garage, I think itll be sick. what about reflective paper of some kind IE the pop can thread we see over in this section as well...

for reflective shit get an emergency blanket at Walmart in the camping section is almost just as good as Mylar... 2 or 3 bucks.. It's just a bitch to work with.. You can definitely find most of what you need for 100.. actually.. sometimes it's even more fun when you only let yourself use a certain amount because then you start to innovate about what you can use.. Instead of plant pots I bought some cookie containers at Walmart for 1.50 each and black cardstock and duct tape to make sure theyre light proof... and they are square which will fit in my pc cases more effectively.

How many CFLs did you use, Chief? I would be extremely happy getting an Oz off each plant.. but since my goal is just supplying myself with high quality bud I'm going to be aiming for 18-28g per plant. Basically after my first harvest I want to have myself a weed ration at
1 gram/day.
