yellowing leaves

Hey all..

Got a couple plants in vegging, both bubba's started from seed. One plant is gorgeous, lush, green leaves, the other is lush as well, thick stems has nice color (perhaps a bit lighter) but the leaves are all drooping, like she's overwatered or something. I'm feeding/watering on same schedule, they were transplanted same day and seem to be keeping up with each other in regards to size and growth so .... any clues?

Also, we have a plant that we started mothering... she's been into mothering about 10 days now and a couple of the lower leaves on the Northern Lights mom are turning yellow, I realize the different issues it could be and am working on that now but my question is, should these lower yellow leaves be removed or left on to fall off by themselves? If possible (I love to know the why's and wherefore's) if possible, could someone tell me why they are either removed or left?

Thanks everyone and have a safe, happy and healthy New Year!!! Suite & family

Different plants, even of the same strain, can have different nutritional requirements. If one plant looks overwatered, give that plant (at least) less water. Healthy plants can usually survive the soil completely drying out for weeks, so if you want to just decrease water for all of them, any that aren't as bad should still be fine. I would pull the worst one from its pot and check the roots for binding.

There's no point removing damaged leaves until you fix the cause of the damage. Otherwise, the damage will just move to different leaves.

^Good advice. Also, sounds like it could be a little nitrogen deficient. Try hitting it with a 1/4 strength foliar feed, with some veg fert. If the plant perks up in an hour or two, you'll know it was hungry, and had absorbed the nitrogen it was lacking.

Coco, Nutes, Soil, Soilless and ...the Blond!!
Hello all,

After reading hundreds (it seems) of posts from so many growers I think we've got some of the basics down, but gonna double check to make sure before we sign up for MJ growing 101 LOL. Ok, we're growing in Roots Organic 707, have been using the Ubiogrow nutes but understand we need more than that offers. Will be switching up the nutrients to either Fox Farm (but heard it doesn't mix well with the coco line) or Botanicare, which is the way we're leaning. We'll be getting the new nutes tomorrow.

In the pic below with 4 plants, from left they are HogsBreath, TrainWreck, CreamSodica & NorthernLights. We are 34 days into flowering. I'm pretty sure the advice will be to up the nutes, especially the nitrogen but would feel better knowing a seasoned grower agrees. Also, why so many red stems on the big leaves, is this a nutrient deficiency as well.

I can't thank you all enough for the advice, it really is appreciated. Suite & family
