hey guys got a few new pics here, remember if anyones got any advice/critisizm im keen to hear it, there is a few mistakes i have made with this grow but its my first scrOG and only second ever grow so go easy:) anyways...

Heres the pics, theres not much new just a bit of growth and they have all been tied down LST style to help the lower growth catch up a bit, enjoy.

2011 No3.jpg -The tops- 2011 No4.jpg

2011 No5.jpg This ones branches are a bright purple, and this one is bright green 2011 No6.jpg clearly two different unknown strains.

2011 No7.jpg And heres the final shot of the two, i admit it is a tiny grow but the purpose of it was to get experience in the scrOG style for a bigger grow,

Anyways happy new years all!! peace out and happy growing for 2011:)

thanx for following dude:) truth is its not actually a 250w hps, it is 250w but im not sure of wat type of light it is, its just like one of those big flood lights haha ill be buying a proper light set up after this though prob 400w hps. Funny thing is though the plants are actually growing prety well and this light puts out so much heat i thought for sure it would fail.

word. my 250w is a hot b*tch, glad I didn't go with the 400w for that reason but bummed my ventilation can't support a 400w at the same time.

Is it an actual 250w hps? (unlike mine), cus i read that they virtually put out no heat (with proper vent) and you can put them like 20cm above the crowns of the plant.... My cab is tiny man so ill have to get a bigger space for a 400w but i think itll be worth it.

Yeah its a HID - mh/hps switchable:

I do keep my light 8-12inches from my plants with an old box fan constantly blowing around in there. Its not TOO hot--but its right on the edge ya'know. If I punched a couple holes in my closet doors for in/out fans it would probably be okay. Actually a 400w might not be too much hotter - maybe a matter of 10ºf or so...

what is the over all goal for the scrog? is it to keep an even canopy? Seems like all your light is getting to all the right spots.

hmm how do i explain this?? well, the purpose for me was to get the most colas out of the little space i had to work with and i think its worked out perfectly for me. All the bottom growth is trimmed of so all the crowns up the top get all the growth and almost get outta control haha also wen u bend the branches under the screen the lower growth will than turn into branches the same thickness as every other one.

Im no good at explaining this man but i hope u sortta get wat i mean lol all i no is its allowed me to grow to my maximum yield with the small space i have, try googling it or there some awesome journels and threads on here which is where i learnt it all. they dont miss anything out so its def worth havin a suss mate, let me no how u go:)

That's what I've gathered from other posts/journals - more colas is the main goal. I'm more of a learn-by-doing person but learn-by-watching is second best (that's why I'm subscribed!).
Now I see, you're trimming your lower leaves. Very clever. I think I will try this in a grow or two from now. I'm always wanting bigger and BIGGER trunks! Do you get more colas than tie-down LST? I do LST but with only two points, an anchor and a counter anchor. So far it looks like I'm gon'na get about 6-8 colas per plant.

I start the plants of doing LST untill there big enough to reach the screen, i bend the main stalk around in a spiral untill theres no more room and than i topp it. If i no theres a group of colas and there not gonna have enough room next to each other than i just cut one or two of, this allows me to fill up my grow space perfectly without over crowding them. Also wen im trimming i dont do it all at once as i think it puts to much stress onto the plant, instead i wait until the top of the plant is very thick and well established than i start trimming from the bottom up, cutting of about 5 leafes a day ( there probably an exact number out there but i find doing 5 or 6 a day is fine). Than i further do LST to make sure the canopy stays even and grows at the same rate.

I totaly agree with u, i think the best way to learn is through doing it yourself but u do need to no a bit about it before starting. Good luck to u in the future with ur scrOG grows i think its def worth a try, if u need any help with it im here although there are a lot more experienced people on here ill still be glad to share wat i no.

nice mate.. i'm trying to setup something similar.. well.. actually.. i don't know what i'm trying to setup yet.. i've got a small cab, 250w hps and some seedlings on the go but don't really have a plan yet how it's gonna go.. what size cab is that? the main issue with my cab is height.. so was thinking of either lst/scrogging, getting a mother out of the seedlings i've got right now then setting up a perpetual sog.. or just getting a bigger cab.

keep us updated on this grow.. keen to see how it goes..

u'r sooo lucky u got all fems though.. all the reading i've been doing says that u shouldn't scrog from seeds in case u get a male and have to rip it from the screen.. but thats cool u got all fems dude gratz.

also.. can u give us more details on the grow? like what medium u'r using and nutes if any? thanks.

Thanx dude, i think if your going to be growing in a small cab than a scrOG is def the way to go, its helped me fill the area perfectly and any over growth i just trim of. Heres the specs to my cab.

Size- 1.1m high, 0.85m wide, and 0.40m deep.

As you can see my cab is pretty small and at first i though theres no way i would be able to grow anything in it but i asked around on here and got some good advice, i think someone told me you can put a 250w HPS like 30cm above the top of the plants (provided you have proper ventilation and air circulation), so aslong as u have enough height to allow for 30cm i think you should be ok.

The cab is ventilated using a 150mm hydroponics exhaust fan which does everything i need it to, also its strong enough for the right sized carbon filter. It pulls through an open hole down the bottom of the cab which is 180mm in diameter.
As for the soil its a mixture of 70% soil and 30% perlite.
The screen is just thick wire mesh that i pinched from work, the holes are 5cm big but i think there to large so next time im gonna try get a screen with 2.5cm holes.
The plants get watered every second day, and every second watering they get fertilized with a great fertilizer my mate recommended but the bottle it came in was crap and leaked so i had to pour it into a water bottle instead so i cant really tell you wat the NPK of it was cus i cant remember.

I think that coveres what i left out, if theres anything else just hit me up and good luck man like i said i think scrOG is defiantly the way to go and is much easier to control than a SOG in a small area.

thanks for the info dude.. yeah my cabs a similar size to that.. except for the height.. my cab is only about 70cm tall.. so i've got a feeling i'm gonna run into probs there.. will be interesting to see the height that yours grow to cause ive read that they really shoot up in flower.. apart from the height my setup is pretty much identical to yours in every way :D my soil mix is about 60% soil, 10% compost and 20% perlite. As it stands now though i've only got a couple of computer fans doing the ventilation, and my temp sits at about 30C.. which is abit high.. i've got a 150mm inline fan sitting there but haven't hooked it up yet because i haven't decided yet what i want to do.. don't wanna be cutting gaping holes in my fish tank cabinet if i end up just buying a bigger cab to grow in.. oh.. and btw.. my cab is a fish tank cabinet.. :/ and yes.. there is a fish tank on top of it.. with fish in it lol... it all came about cause i thought i'd do a stealthy cfl grow.. and what better place then under a fish tank.. then i got a hps.. and it's all evolving now..

silly me bought a cooltube reflector for my light to help with the temps.. said the reflector was 600mm long.. so i figure oh yeah that'll fit.. didn't realise that 600mm is just the reflector part.. not counting the end bits.. so it doesn't even fit in my cab :( but i figured i'll keep it just incase i get a bigger cab.

keep up the good work.. and keep those pics coming!! :D :D still shaking my head at u'r fem rate.. u lucky bastard.
