mine are doing the same thing, I have 4 42 watt cfls about 4 or 5 inches from my plant. its 5 weeks into flowering too and the top cola seems to have shrunk a little hair-wise and they seem to be getting more and more amber every day. My leaves are turning yellow and the fan leaves look like the tips caught on fire. and theyre getting little red spots and yellowing and folding upward... maybe the same problem?

do the hairs look all dried out or healthy still? same thing that blntsmk said happened to me, it was nute burn. it could just be the strain if the plant is healthy and growing still

it could be from the plant becoming a hermi or from a male plant outside your place.

You could let it go and remove the seeds from the mature bud or start new. When you start over spray EVERYTHING around the grow cab and inside the grow cab with water to kill stray pollen.

Exactly. If its the only plant you have, it went herm somewhere you're not seeing. It's the worst, my advice is to chop it down, don't even bother trying to finish, it's potency is only going to deteriorate.

I've had it happen many times, the plant really never makes viable seeds, nor does it make good bud, it's like purgatory for cannabis.

Jeez I hope I never have to get diagnosed by you guys, go in with a cold and come out less a Kidney. I would ask for more pictures, esp node pics. You guys are rendering a death sentence with only partial information, then again you could be right. He has nothing to lose by waiting and collecting additional information.

If the substrate is drenched with salts the leaves show burnt tips and deformation.
His leaves looks pretty darn healthy.

You know I have had plants that the hairs turn amber pretty quick as well and they turned out to be fine. What I would suggest is to get a scope and look at the trichs some just turn the hairs amber faster than others. My last pineapple plant turned all the hairs in week 4 and then in week 10 she was ready to be cut and it is some great smoke! It could be genetics although it could of been pollinated as well if you happened to have a male or it hermied on you. More information would help. But I would not cut it down early based on this conversation in the forum until you have identifed exactly what has happened and keep in mind that it could be normal for that strain.
