Hello.

I did a regular scrog my first grow, then realized how much space I was giving up in my 2' x 3' x 9' closet. So, I went vertical.

I am about 4 weeks into my vertical scrog grow. I have 2 DWC's each with one plant. The screens are 2' x 4.5'. I have the lights diy cooltubed up the middle. Now there is 400w MH... adding a 250w MH when needed... and will flower under 400w HPS + 250w HPS.

Strains are Casey Jones and Sour Grape.

I live outside of LA too. Do I get a prize? And if so... can I have a Sour Deisel clone... I promise to grow it good.

hi i am new to vertical and am thinking about doing somthing like yours. a bucket vertical grow, but i was under the impression that the plants go on the outside of the cage, and grow threw.

is this wrong?

Are you talking to me? This isn't my thread, so I don't want to start a conversation on it. But to answer your question, it is not wrong to grow plants 'through' a screen. If you want to me more questions, take it over to my journal.... don't want to step on any toes.

Can't wait to see the pics of the new set up in LA sounds crazy. I'm about to move and am considering doing a vert grow and would LOVE to see how yours works so i don't go and f mine up :)

i love the idea about the pots with the plants growing out the side.... rocks my socks right off..
it just solved so many of my problems with my vertical set up... ty for the idea.. hope you dont mins too much that im stealing it ..
also .. your earlier grow the 2khps 5lb grow.. how long did you veg for... im setting up an 8 by 4 grow room .. vertical (possably scrog) havnt decided yet..
and its also 2k. i was realy worried about plant size and how many rows i could get do grow well around the lights... didnt want to go too high as it just bare bulb and no cooltube..
im thinking 4 foot.. and if i have shelves just big enough for pots and drippers and i grow the plants out the side of the pots .. i could even get a another 24 plants its great.. hopefully aiming for about 80 plants...

i love your grows btw.

Most vert grows I have seen are sog so you pack as much as you can in. For example if you have a 6' high wall and use 8" pots on a 1" shelf whith a plant that even if growing sideways has 2" to 3" under the next shelf so in essence 1' a plant vert that's 6 plants using floor to roof. If your pots ar leaning the angel the plants growing and either stacking them that way or "crazy" shelfs every 4" to 6" inches that's 12 or more plants floor to roof.

Greenlight I love soil also I love your ideas. About to finally do a vert of my own!
Also stacking or straight more roots better plants, you can get that from square pots. It just makes a little better use of space if cramming!

I also like the scrog but if you do not scrog you'll still want a net to support the buds.

I was thinking a no veg, stacked, vertical, Ak47, with a 750/1000 watt hps in a fresca sol tube in a 5' 5" x 5' 5" x 6' 5" tall room.
Any thoughts?
