A plant only needs about one 100 watt cfl to grow well. A 200 is more than enough to get the full potential out of one plant for sure.

It is worth it to order from him for the free seeds you get with your order over Nirvana! the only problem that I have seen with Sannies is that most of their beans take over 10 weeks to flower. That is my only complaint, but they are Sativa dominant so it is expected! GL on your surgery brotha! We got the heijuana/big whit as well. We topped it tons during veg cuz gobbly started to run out of space. Ours has very loose kinda small buds, but we are both wondering if we might have topped it too many times. I'm stoked to be able to compare your to ours to see if its a strain thing or how many times we topped it
I think Crypt is going to be out of the growing game for a few months unfortunatly, Sorry to hear about the loose airy buds. Was the KF airy or were they tight solid nugs?
we aren't 100% sure on the harijuana/big-wite yet. The buds are small and mostly leaf at this point, but it has 3-4 weeks left, so it's quite possible it'll plump a lot in that time (I hope
). We have 6 clones from it though that only veged for 2 weeks and weren't topped, and another clone from it that has been vegging a month so far and was topped quite a bit less, so we will get an idea of whether it just didn't like the topping, or is just a low yielder. The KF was a typical sativa dominant hybrid. It's not fluffy like many pure sativa's, but no where near as dense as some of the pure indica's I've seen. It looked slightly more dense growing than it was dry, but the pink is looking a lot more dense so far, and is getting close to dry.you're correct. penetration in flo's and hid is really determined by watts and area. A CFL (and all flo's) take the wattage and spread the light output over the surface area of the entire bulb, a much larger area than the HID (which is considered a point source), resulting in much lower penetration. There are ways to deal with that, for instance a number of very short plants (think sog or scrog) works well with all flo setups. Another option would be to use a few CFL's and wrap the plant with them (have some up top, but also some wrapping the sides and illuminating deeper). Other option is to switch to HID or something.

We still have 1 more KF from seed and another 3 clones to go into flower, but we have now harvested 2 of them and no hermies. I know you had a bad experience with fem seeds, but so far all the fem sannies have been free of hermies (haven't even found an errant seed in any of the harvests so far like we would with bagseed). Hericules and hari/big-wite are fem as well; haven't harvested any of them yet, but they are getting close, and no hermies from them either. I'll keep you updated if we do find any though
