I will be using a new batch of soil shortly and had a few ?'s

Pro mix BX 70%
Lambarts organic potting soil 30% Pretty good stuff for $7 a 2.0 bag at hoedepot/amended with kelp
Blood Meal(MG) 1 tbs per gl
Alfalfa(very little) a hand full tossed into overall mix, roughly 40gls worth of soil
Guano N(very little)This is HOT SHIT! 3 lbs....just kidding....3 tbs into 40 gls of soil
Bone meal(very little) 1/2 tbs per gl
Guano P Jamaican 3/4 tbs per gl
Kelp meal tbs per gl
EWC final mix will end up with about 20%....only had a little left when mixed but adding more within 10 days
D lime tbs per gl
10 maybe 20% perlite
This is what i have used to mix up some new soil. All in appropriate amounts.

What would you guys feed or supplement into your waterings with this mix? And where i think some of my problems are coming from in some other grows.......How often should i be using a nute tea or supp tea?

I have just a bout anything i would need but am still confused on what i should give when and how often.Any input and advice is much appreciated.

Easy on the blood meal unless you plan on letting that mix 'cook' for a while. Otherwise you could probably use all of those ingredients in the mix and pretty much straight water for several weeks. You might want to consider some greensand or azomite to help supply/prevent micronutrient issues.

I would mix up all of those ingredients, except for the blood meal and guanos. I would leave the blood meal out entirely, and maybe add a little guano to the mix itself. During planting I would put a good layer of this mix down in the container, and then sprinkle high N and high P guanos and maybe a little bone meal there, some more dolomite lime, followed by a bit more of the soil mix before in goes the root-ball. This way I don't have to worry as much about the whole mix being too 'hot'- the roots will grow right down into the guano/bone meal more slowly.

I wouldn't use a bunch of perlite (no more than 10%), instead I would add more earthworm castings, humus and maybe a small amount of coco coir. Perlite doesn't hold moisture or nutrients or support microbial communities as good as castings and humus.

Brew teas for foliar and keeping microbial populations topped off. You could spray them daily, every other day, once a week - it's up to you. Otherwise I would just add molasses to my irrigation water, and liquid kelp occasionally (both contain potassium).

Later on you can top dress with the guanos, bone meal, castings and dolomite lime. You'll probably want to add more lime in a few weeks at least.

Thanks for the reply Nullis.

The mix posted has already been mixed up.Will be close to 2 weeks before i will be using any.I will be adding some more castings before use.Used what i had left but would like some more in there myself.Would splitting the above mix with more Pro Mix BX for my 1 gl veg pots be better? Say 50/50 or 70pm/30above mix?

What i have to play with

Humic and Fulvic acids (organicare)
Alaska fish 5-1-1
Neptunes harvest fish 2-4-1
Maxi crop liquid SW
Guano N....this i got myself....used lightly...really hot shit!
Guano jamaican P
EJ bloom
Big Bloom foxfarm
Budswell 0-7-0
Kelp meal
EWC
Alfalfa (ground up in blender)
Molasses

I'm hoping to get through veg(2-4wks)and most of flower with this mix but if not so be it...i'll feed.Out of what i have listed above what should i give once and a while before i may need to start feeding?Just to help things along some? Also i use well water.Overall pretty good water.

I'm not going away......

Some EWC Molasses and Maxicrop once a week.......twice....you tell me.

And the humic and fulvic....would i use the humic every watering......once in a while......you tell me.

The fulvic as a foliar ....once a week....twice......once in a while.......you tell me.

Been usin chems for almost a year and want to get away from it.All these organic products have been given to me over time and i want to use them.....just need some guidence.

ADD Hygrozyme to the list and will also be getting some Azomite as suggested.

Once per week to once in awhile, any more then that would get wasteful.

Thanks Random........

Would you suggest since i have kelp in the mix that the Maxi Crop should be used also?I'm seeing it seems to be used more as a spray more than anything, and mostly throughout veg.

Kelp seems to be one of those things thats hard to overdue.
Im sure its possible but you should be ok.
Moderation in everything, Id try to keep most stuff to once per week, twice in certain situations.

Yes thats what i've been reading about the kelp also.I'm also seeing that ya gotta be careful with seaweed towards the end of flowering.........leaves taste in finished product.

I feel the food(npk)part won't be a big deal for me to get use to but i'm just tryin to get ahold of what i should use and how often to create/keep a happy soil.I'm shooting more for water only style mixes with the occasinal boost.

In biology, an organism is a contiguous system of life. At least in some form, all organisms are capable of responding to stimuli, reproduction, growth and development and maintenance of homeostasis as a stable.

Is there a way you could explain some of that in a more "stoner friendly" type of way?I'm eager to learn!
