Curing In Plastic Bags??

Hello all,

My first grow is in the process of wrapping up. I already harvested a Bubblegummer plant and it is curing away. I planted it later, so being that it was about 1/4 the size of my other plants and indica strain it finished up earlier that my other plants (G13 and Pineapple chunk). My question is that the other plants are much larger and I would like to keep the buds as big as possible, but the largest glass containers I have for curing is quart sealers. Can you cure your harvest in large sealable plastic bags? Or would this give the pot a bad plasticy taste? The bags are food safe and can be frozen, so I don't imagine they would be hazardous to your health to cure in plastic bags.

you should be fine, almost all weed consumed has been in a plastic bag at some point.
for really big buds (and lots of them) you can get sealing plastic totes.

thats a good question i always hear that glass is better then plastic i cant remember the science behind it i read an arctile about it once but i was too stoned to remember.......I always use glass just because i know its the best way and i look for big jars so i don have that problem.....there hard to find but there out here

plastic bags are bad because resin/trich's will adhere to the plastic and be lost forever
i use glass for my headstash, but for anyone who sells/gives weed bags are cheap and efficient.

DON'T CURE IN PLASTIC

If you can't afford a pack of cheap mason jars at virtually any grocery/store then you shouldn't be able to afford to grow.

You can always remember those big buds with Kodak, than take them apart into smaller more manageable buds.

I obviously have enough money to grow if my buds won't fit into the mason jars I already have. Having the mason jars isn't the issue; I wanted to keep the buds as large as possible. If your not going to actually read the posts then don't bother posting yourself.

old timers can tell you how to sweat the buds in plastic bags ,it was the preferred method before using glass jars

just watch out for mold, air the buds daily for a week or so.

You can do the Sweating to Cure method, it's harder than it sounds though. Just go buy larger glass jars, anything done in plastic and you're just asking for trouble. There are huge glass jars/bottles out there that will easily hold the entire bud, just have to shop around a bit.

Then buy taller jars. I know that at least IKEA sells some pretty tall ones.
