Utah Cops Shoot And Kill Man During Raid

M&P 40.cal here, I'll take a couple with me

Taurus PT145 Millennium Pro .45 cal 10+1. Believe im not running into the hall way with a golf club. Just fucked up shit they did. Wow. 12 Armored police...vests and helmets and all...and lets shot the guy with the golf club.

How much more likely is it to defend yourself with a gun than any other retarded object in that scenario if you were the victim (or perpetrator, hmmm)? Besides that, the guy comes out of there instantly, and that shot goes off less than 1/4 second after he pops out. In this situation, I'd have to digress and say he brought that on himself with his irrational actions.

Not that I expect a majority of you to be able to rationalize that a cop is a person that's just doing what they get paid to do to better understand how else this could have played out. If that guy had come out with a gun and the officers that took him down that quickly had saved lives, none of you would logically say he didn't have it coming. If you pull a gun on police, you will and should die. Now apply that to the fraction of a second that elapsed between the guy coming out with a long metal object pointed at the officers, and him getting rick rolled. He had it coming. Don't dive out of rooms with long metal objects pointed at the police and you most likely won't be shot by the police. Unless you're Sean Bell.

That was a bad shoot. I used to be a Military Police Officer, we can act more aggressively than civilian officers but I would not of took that shot. The guy had a non-projectile weapon. He was only a danger if one got close enough to get hit. Chemical spray or Tasser was called for. It looks like the officers intentions was not to have an option of less than deadly force.
Officers were wrong. If I pull a knife at 25 feet and can't reach them, they should not use deadly force but we all know how those assassins work.
They call us drug users but they are addicted to the adrenaline rush and that's how they get their fix...and they say we are dangerous.

I LOL'd at that one, I woulda took that guy hand to hand. What a bunch of pussy police we have now a days. If I had a tactical vest on i sure aint gonna be hurt by some dude swinging a 7 iron. They gave the poor guy about 1/10,000,000 of a second to drop the weapon and get down on the ground, then after he is dead they again command him to "Get down on the Ground".

More than likely the poor fella didn't know it was the police and just heard the loud banging and as soon as he pops up he is dead, they gave him no time to react at all, just like shootin fish in a barrel.

That is why no knock search warrants should be banned. Most normal people woken up from a deep sleep will only hear the break in. Being startled from a deep sleep one will not immediately understand and process vocal commands much less commands being shouted.
Sometimes they hit the wrong address and totally innocent people die due to above.
Before busting in, they should be required to knock/pound and yell for at least 45 seconds so those asleep inside can get their bearings. If there are true bad guys inside, they are already armed. If they are innocent, they have time to understand WTF and yell back that they are opening the door.

IMO They should just have 1 guy dressed in street clothes go and ring the doorbell, then when the owner opens door to see who it is calmly explain to him you are with the sheriff and have a warrant and then you call in your team.
