Reverse Osmosis Water filtration, Yum:-P

Flowering cycle begins today after trimimng all sites and laterial branching below the screen. Screen is 4'x4'

Veg Room: Sunblaze HO-T5s soon to be replaced with 400w MH enhanced spectrum in a 6" luminaire when the little ones demand it. For now, I'm liking the short inter-nodal spacing.
Temps 70-74 degrees,
Humidity 30-40
no cooling just a fan to circulate/replace air
Genetics:Aurora Indica, Northern Lights, AK-48 28 seedlings 3 weeks old

Medium: Roots Organics Soil
Nutrients: Currently running Roots Organics to "feed my soil", As Stitch used to say:clap:
I also have, Earth Juice, but I lost interest in it some time ago. I am on the other hand running experiments with the Cutting Edge Line and Supernaturals soil line. I Occasional foliar feed liquid karma. I use several inoculates for the soil, but I'm primarily utilizing Organism Xl and Feeding them Trinity. I initiated the inoculations early with great white and a few other products Plant success. Since I started using Trinity and Organism Xl, I have phased out several products from use withing my soil. I must say the roots line is simply amazing once you get a healthy colony going.

Well enough babbling, Here are some pictures.

Flower room venting:
rigid ducting into attic - Fan - Ducting - 6" hood - ducting - 8"Hood-Ducting - Carbon Scrubber (draws air flower cab). Air intake is a passive 6"x30" DIY light baffle box.
Upgrade for this system will be to add a dust filter on the baffles in take, Install the back draft baffle/damper and install a hepa filter at the inlet to the room/Exhaust of the light trap box.

Upgrades to be added on short order will be C.A.P. Complete green house controller cog-1, CO2 tank and emitter. I will then make the system a sealed room by ducting my lights from outside the room and into the attic.

Replace the 400w HPS with a 600w with and 8" hood, enlarge light ducting to eight.

Acquire OG-kush genetics.

3rd cycle I will switch to a Areo-NFT Hydro Organics and Ill be Running a small Aquaponics with Talapia T5 mini grow as soon as I finish getting all the materials I will start building it.

This pic is of some clones I planted in a really awful batch of light warrior. I had about twenty clones and 23 seedlings planted in this medium and all of them went pale with purple stems. I transplanted every thing into roots and everything recovered in about 36hrs.

I left these in the medium to experiment with.
Flushed, repopulated micros, treated with hydrated lime etc. They continue to flonder.
roots systems full, developed and white.

At any rate, I cannot fix um and they are few of many clones.

Day 3 of flowering, foliar fead some liquid karma. Things are really exploding above the screen after the final heavy veg feeding last week. Almost time for the transitional feeding.

Gathering materials to install the sog table. This will make some additional room for the new little ones. I'll be adding 50 at a time, one batch in 30 another in 60.

Hey nice setup! I'm about to harvest some ak 48 in about 2 weeks. Earth juice isn't great, I used it on my very first grow. I'm using advanced nutrients grow and bloom, and it rules. Next time I want to order Crystal from Nirvana, but that aurora indica you are growing looks great too. You shouldn't have any problems with the AK 48.:leaf::-P Good job I will subscribe!

No worries I appriciate the post especially ones pertaining to Aurora, I am absolutely overwhelmed with excitement about the aurora. I haven't seen many threads regarding this strain. They Aurora are on thier third set of leaves and they are putting out seven fingered leaves. So exciting. So this weekend all seedlings will go into 1 gallon root pruning pots. Thanks for stoppiing in, feel free to post your progress here

Currently the flower room is filled with clones from a friend, called Hash plant. Dunno the quality of it as of yet. The seedlings above will be replacing this strain in due time!

Ill let you know what works for my AI and what doesnt. thats why im trying all training methods, Kinda cruel to my girls. :) I have a few more from seed on their 2nd node, thoes I will all train whichever works best for my first batch. I think Aurora is a Strain that likes to be messed with.. So far my biggest plant, was my 1st accident. While in lst the tied down top cracked half way through over night, so I had no choice but to let it grow naturally. but the Trunk got fatter, Side shoots growing good for clones. and the top is continuing to grow though it has a > shape cut into stem above the 5th node.

IMAG0057.jpgThis was a 2nd disaster, While in LST. I completely snapped the top off this 1. So im keeping it in lst, Pruned a few of the shoots so it turns into a bush.IMAG0051.jpg this 1 has been Topped, but their seems to be 3 main tops so i might have FIMissed a little

Ive read Aurora doesn't respond to training or topping very well, being my first time ever experiencing this strain I cant be sure.. I will be cloning side branches and letting them do their thing before attempting to train in any way.

I will have an additional SOG running under the current unfinished one seen above. In addition I will have an additional temporary Flower room in place to facilitate the perpetual start-up. Im so excited about the aurora I cannot wait.

Ill be adding three additional strains after I get the Areo+Nft system running. I'm very interested in some blue strains and of course the OG Kush Hypes got me measured and found wanting.

I have never ran into a Indica Dom. plant that react negative. but I have not grown them all. I did straight grows last harvest and was not a fan of its legnth. TOP nodes get the light and lower ones lack it.

Ive smoked AK-47 on several occasions and its always a really consistent product. AK-48 is based upon the same genetics(F2s I believe), that said I expect many good things to come. Unfortunately I haven't grown or sampled any nirvana genetics so I cant speculate on the stability/consistency of their genes. I did purchase non feminized seeds with the intent of breeding, hence why I purchased northern lights to cross the genetics back and then cross again with the best pheno of Aurora and AK-48 to stabilize the Indica pheno of both strains.

I would love to add some blue strains and Og Kush to my genetics in the 3rd cycle, white strains... did that ., not really going that direction for some time to come. I will most likely only breed by isolating favorite phenos and crossing back to original genetics in an attempt to isolate phenos.

Bravo, hope you get a good ratio of M:F. :) You should LST/Prune/Top at least 1 of your girls. to witness it. :D I personally feel that you cant tell which bud comes from the main cola or side branching when mixed in the same Jar.

yea, i always end up one or two that end up taking a long time bouncing back from cloning, but i typically pitch em... i held on to a couple of em this time and let em do their thing, and after a few weeks they are showing more vigor, but i dont think im gonna bother doing anyhting with em...

also, i dig your scrog sog setup, where did you get that netting that fits dixie cups lol... also, how often do you watr and feed in the dixies during flower, and what is the ec you feed with?

i was just curious as i dont really do soil, and never flowered in a dixie cup.

Raw do you have a grow journal/thread going? Im constantly looking for Aurora grows. Per your suggestion Ill lst and top one of each female of each strain to see how they respond. I do know that even different phenos of a gene can react to training differently, in fact its occurring with this medicinal strain dubbed "hash plant" as one of the three responded much differently than the other three when topped. Of course, this is always subject to stability of the strain. I'm my experience, the stronger the genes the more consistent or fewer the pheno expressions of said genetics. I am still learning and I humbly except new criticism and suggestions, especially regarding breeding, genetics techniques and etc.

By the way the plants grew two inches since the flip on Sunday, They are so healthy and sucking up all the nutes and water I can through at them. I f....ing love Roots Organics
