Check this out... Day 13 of veg, switched the spectrum over to full veg mode 2 days ago and the plants are just wired off of the blue light / co2 combo. Anyone who tells you LEDs don't work obviously has never grown with them! You will NEVER get this same type of vegetative growth with HID, take it from a 20+ year grower!

Heres the link to my current grow if you want to watch it unfold https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/399795-confined-space-1020w-led-24-a.html

Guys I'm a soil grower by trade but would like to set up a no fuss watering system based on drip irrigation and wondered how to do this on a small scale. My tent will be 4x4 with 6-8 plants. I'm thinking something similar to a product called the oasis by claber but more controlled on watering amounts and schedule. I'd like a set and forget method that I could just fill the res as needed with pre mixed water/mutes solution. Any suggestions?
bumping my question that is going to get lost in 3 pages of new info. any help would be appreciated

get a five gallon bucket go to home depot get your adjustable 0-10gph drippers and some splitter heads like with 6 lines on em i got two for my veg room and a pump thats all you need basically and just run lines to each of your pots they make dripper heads that have stakes on em and shit. Very simple go to home depot and tell them you have a garden and you want to put it on a drip you need x amount of dripper sites and your sites are spaced x amount apart and they will hook you up with what you need.

so this will scale over to the SOIL grow. ive had people give me advise but all was based on this being hydro which im not currently running. I want the system to drip a little under a gallon per plant per week. that way i set in my nuted water and thats it.

Thank god man, good decision, I saw that impressive yield and was wondering what it could have been with sturdy seedlings or clones instead. Beat up clones, even if treat them well and nurse them back to health, will yield much less than if you had a good start. Even with that you got like .9g/watt. I hope the SLH bumps to 1.25+ g/watt.

Im using it in my veg tent for rockwool/coco yes you can use drippers with soi no problem. Get a timer for the pump make sure its a digi so you can set for 1 min intervals and then get adjustable drippers and you can compleetely control how much water you give to em. You should be able to acomplish that drip no problem. If you set your drippers at 1gph and run them for 1 minute an hour well you get the picture you do the math for what you need. But it should do it no prob. No one can tell you run time you have to experiment with that as even soils all drain differently than others. So Figure out how fast your soil drains and set y our drippers to that. You will have to watch it close for about a week or so til you figure how much water your plants are using and stuff like that but it totatlly works my grandpa has been runnin one for his house plants for YEARS now.

Because of that they are usually driven about 50% of maximum rated wattage so the actual consumption of a panel is much lower than the advertized max.
ok dunnit that mostly makes sense to my somewhat fuzzy brain but as far as driving them at less than max if the lights run on 120 volts how do you do that use a dimmer? that doesn't seem right. i googled LED drivers but i don't understand how this works
please help
thanx

joe
You don't have to worry about it, it's already built into the LED Panels. When they set up the power supply (they have an internal power supply, if fact usually two or three) they are designed to run the LED's at 50% of max or thereabouts or else the LED's would never make it to the end of their warranty which is three years on mine. Basically the manufacturer has already handled that issue.

order from gotham call them they will give you a better deal. Lighthouse is the manufacturer they charge more than gotham not sure why but its the same thing. If you call though they will negotiate price with you if u just order u pay full price like me i should have called when i ordered i will next time.

I am confused after trying to piece meal conversations in this thread. Are people receiving orders from Gotham? I am interested in two of the 600w blackstars. http://www.gothamhydroponics.com/grow-lights/gotham-hydro-led-grow-lights.html?dir=desc&order=price

or should i just order two of the 500w from lighthouse? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004E63710/sr=1-2/qid=1295901090/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&qid=1295901090&sr=1-2&seller=

Oright dave, I'm in the UK too. Decided I wanted a set up with kessil lights, but cant actually find them anywhere. I'd love to know if there's some big UK hydro store I dont know about. KK - congrats on your win you lucky b@s*%d!! Viagro - I cant get one from the US (a kessil) as the states run a different voltage system & it'd proably blow up. They are supposed to be available here tho so I'll just keep looking. Hows your lady(s)?
