Hey everyone i germinated on the 1/11 or 1/12 but i put them in the soil around the 11/15. This is what my Op looks like .

.jpg

Small , Random items cluttering around it , Look its the 1/24/11 , why haven't my plant sprouted yet? I did check them under the soil yesterday , and the root appears to be dried out and soil colored? aren't they supposed to be white? Obviously i don't wanna be wasting my time, should i start fresh? New seeds? I water them twice a day about a small splash or less from a gallon jug , im sure not to over water but i am new at this. Help me out and ill be sure to post tons of pics :leaf:

.jpg I got my favorite pieces  and also a little help for guys who want to grow on a small budget and or limited resources , i used a old garage sale security light for outside, and it had this bulb holder thing (for the lack of a technical term)
.jpg I just wired this together , let me know if its worth a guide on exactly how to make a functional socket out of a old security motion light.

Tell me your thoughts , and yes im a noob , and its my first grow

germination directions
1. get a paper towel, not toilet paper but a paper towel, completely wet it under warm water
2. get all of your seeds and put them in the folded paper towel (im sure youve heard of this)
3. place the folded wt paper in between two plates so that it stays dark. and put the plate on top of a water heater so it stays warm.
4. check the paper evrey 8 hours, make sure it stays wet, not dripping wet just pretty moist
5. once the seed breaks wait till the white stem is about a half inch long
6. in your soil medium take a sharpened pencil and poke down until the wood meets the paint and push down another centimeter.
7. place your little white thing down into the moist soil hole, dont push it just drop it in and lighty cover up the seed with no more than a centimeter of soil, just make sure the seed roots get no light
8. place your sol medium in your grow room but dont place any lights on the soil, it can hurt the germination process
9. lightly spray the soil once a day with water, no nutrients for the first 2-4 weeks of growth
10. once the seed sprouts place light on it as soon as you can see the first set of leaves, the round leaves called cotyledons
finished
tips.
no nutrients till 4 full weeks of grow
a plastic clear dome over the plant can help because it keeps humidity high
make sure no fans are blowing on the plant for the first full week or more of growth
using a CFL of 26 watts or less on a small growing plant for the first 5 days of green is recommended
use a cool white cfl during vegging
use a warm spectrum cfl during flowering
only water when the soil is dry after germination
make sure you dont overwater
finished
