Oh, I get what you are saying now. Yes, it does shock them a bit and also makes them very susceptable. However, it is only a few days and it is the buds that haven't received any direct light yet that I am talking about( you know the light green ones). What I do is take the entire top off a plant, trim it up and then move on to the next plant. I take a couple days a few hours here and there until I get through all of them. I make sure to fill an entire drying rack before breaking, so they dry at the same evenly. Then I start back at the beginning and take the lower under canopy stuff off. So believe it or not, there is a noticable difference on those under buds after a few days. I wouldn't suggest it if you have any current issues going on ( bugs, mold, mildew, deficiencies, etc.), but when they are strong and healthy, I haven't had any issues. I don't mess around if there are any current issues, they all come down at once in that case.
