cloning ...the hard way.

well i needed genetics for my perpetual setup because i burned all my seedlings the other day by putting them in hot soil. i had a set of girls who were 23 days into 12/12 but i didnt want to sacrifice many branches so heres what i did.

you will see in the picture that one row is some small clones and the other row are some extremely tiny 'clones'. these were little budsites at the bottom of the plant that had maybe 3/4" of stem, these things are like an inch long total (between stem and top of leaves) i mean those cubes are one inch square LOL. in the middle row you will see a few rooted clones and dead seedlings that im trying to revive.

just for fun ill add a poll and in a week or two well see the results. remember the poll is only for the 17 little girls on the two outside rows.

I get a 100% every time, I use a dirt, a fish tank, plexi-glass for the top, and a 4' floro, with in 7 days I have solid roots!

i am 0 for 14 right now. i gave away the three bigger ones. i have 14 oooober tiny ones and they all look great but no roots yet.

Yes, I'd like to know as well. I take very small cuttings sometimes, but never that far into flower.

Flowering clones work fine, just take a big longer. You can clone a plant ready for harvest.

Well this thread really left us hanging. I've taken clones about an inch more or less and they've so far done fine - that was during veg. I am going to try it on some of the flowering undergrowth today. I doubt I'll follow this thread too much so if it's been a few weeks since the posting date and you're wondering what happened to mine PM me.

1) Clones from flowering work fine - 99% of the time results are just like any other clone
2) It RARELY takes longer...this has been repeated on here so much the RARELY part has been left out, there really needs to be emphasis on this cause 99.9% of the time it doesn't take longer.

If I take clones from a plant that I am about to harvest, it takes 3-4 days longer to show roots compared to a clone taken in the vegetative period.

Full disclosure: I take different size clones, and from different parts of the plant. Also different strains clone differently.
