with a raging suspicious mother on the other side of a newly locked bedroom door:wall: i need to grow fast and efficient.
seeds are germing paper towel way (2 tangerines 1 super silver cheeses)
im using organic soil
organic nutes earth juice
maybe some perlite?
small pots then medium then large
1.2m by 1.2m -- 2m height
600 watt hps light
extractor fan carbon filter yet to be installed

how do i go about adjusting the tempreature and the humidity in the tent? what kinda fan do i need?
what can i do to get the most out of this set up in 3 months? its my first time aswell so some tips will be nice.
i intend to keep pictures going right to the buds.

definetly perlite, 25% of total medium should be perlite. i also use vermiculite 5% but thats optional. 4 or 5 inch extractor fan will do it. as for temps humidity , you cant tell them until your set up is goin and may need adjustment from time to time, its not difficult. u need to find what temp your tent is gonna be sitting at when its full of pots and plants, dont worry about it just now. what light are you gonna put your seedlings under when they sprout? straight under hps? and get a small clip fan ,6 inch should do. it clips inside your tent and blows the air around thereby reducing chances of mould and shit. good set up though mate.

yes dura I will be puttin it straight under the HPS light...................

Hey tommy be carefull with the seedling under the 600w dont fry the little thing! You can get blue 45w Cfls of ebay £9 + £2 for the lamp holder they work great for veg no stretch at all you can get them like 3" from plant

Id test the 600w in your tent mate.... when i started i only had a dutch barn refletor and temps was like 95+.....So i ended up havin to get a air cooled reflector...everthins sweet now

Good look with the grow im scribed ive been checkin the Tangerine out for abit now

hope this helps

mum going nuts now, get a carbon filter because mum will be going bananas when her whole house stinks of cheesey dank in a couple of months. with a 400 you will need at least a 100mm ruck inline fan or equivalent. Your seedlings should be okay under the hps, seedlings are tuff little fukkers, but make sure the light is a good distance away from them. The hps has enough penetration that they shouldn't stretch too bad either. Good luck, remember to keep the door locked.

UPDATE: john innes multi purpose soil - 1 tangerine dream germinated seedling (picture below) I made thumb size hole in soil and place seed facing up (white bit stikcing up)**(this is wrong white bit, the root, needs to be facing down)*** light is approximately 20 inches away from pot. poured in an average size cup of drinking water at the top.

IMAG0071.jpg

how long should i leave the lights on? :-P
how much water is this thing gonna neeD?

no perlite in the soil yet.....is that a bad thing or can i add it in at a later stage?
i plan to add a normal fan to help strengthen the stems and add my extractor fan with carbon filter to reduce smell and heat...

any advice guys:idea:

lookin fine buddy, just keep an eye on temps. as for light time schedule, thats a question that always throws up loads of opinions but personally i have lights on 24/0 until my plants are around 6" high and then i drop it to 18/6. i believe( and this is just my opinion) that the plant needs rest time to lay down roots. i feel that vegging 24/0 all thru isnt in any way beneficial, cost more on electricity, keeps the tent too warm and unnaturally forces the plant but others will disagree. its a decision u make yourself but jump around and read other opinions on the subject, you'll pick up loads of extra info doing that, every1 in here learns that way.

Well thats a turn up lol, ive never looked up how to germinate seeds ive always done it with the root down, i germ them untill its out about 2cm then plant it with a thin layer of dirt over it. Ive never had any problems doin this but it might not be standard practice, i wont be changing in a hurry though.

fuck a duck, so ive planted it upside down.....thats so lame

can i turn it the other way? its only been a day...or will that cause to much stress

tempreature in there seems just above room tempreature
i am going to leave the lights on during the day and off at night for safety reasons and the five-o
power brick to light is leaving slights marks on my carpet as its very hot (cannot hold hand there for more than 3 seconds othewise starts to burn/hurt)

another TANGERINE germed and is in the tent
germ time for 1st tangerine: 50hours
germ time for 2nd tangerine: 62hours
supersilver cheese.......yet to germ

ive always put the root down, when they pop up through the soil( what i use) it will keep the see husk on for a day or 2 feeding the new growing plant.

To be honest you could probs put em in anyway you want lol PUKKA's right, in nature you havent got someone planting them all the 'right' way up lol. Its wherever they land. Im thinking about getting some SSC but think i'll wait till you've finnished yours first, im liking the sound of RDG's other new strain the love cheese tho, only because personally i cant stand any sort of haze.
