I am finally attempting my first Bubbleponics grow using Recirculating DWC model based on blazeoneup's from icmag. It has been a HUGE journey, from dealing with many MANY leaks, enormous amounts of plumbers putty and goop and to sickly clones that have been sitting to long in rockwool cubes! - First week of Veg. and Flower I do not use Hygrozyme, I want the beneficial bacteria from the Microbe Brew to breed bacteria first, week 2 and on I supplement with Hygrozyme to add beneficial enzymes, as well as to compliment the beneficial bacteria made from the Microbe Brew

- Week 5 & 6 I use fewer nutrients because I want to prepare the plants for flush. By reducing the nutrients, I am able to prepare the plants for flush where they will not receive any N-P-K. I believe this will reduce shock as well as stress during the flush phase.

- I flush only twice during the entire grow, once when transitioning into flower and once at the end of flower to flush out all the nutrients. It is not necessary to flush every week or even every 2 weeks because all the dead root matter and bacteria will be consumed by the hygrozyme and ultimately benefit the plant. I flush with sweet and Microbe Brew at week 7 flower for taste, it is said that beneficial bacteria helps in developing the taste of the flowers.

- I prefer Fox Farms Microbe Brew to Great White due to Microbe Brew being in liquid form. It probably does not make a difference but I prefer to supplement with liquid supplements in RDWC to decrease the chances of clogging. I am still debating whether the pros outweigh the cons in this situation.

- In DWC you are able to flush at a faster rate than in soil, the rate is 10-14 days but with Clearex I will be able to flush in 7 days no problem.

- I do not use Superthrive in Flower because during the Flowering phase plants do not require a large amount of Nitrogen, Superthrive is Nitrogen rich and will not significantly benefit the plants.

PLEASE Criticize and Advise all you want. My brother and I put alot of time, moneys, and effort to get this whole project up and going...we would appreciate any insight!

I'm pretty new at this whole hydro thing too but I can tell you that you're on the right track. They look like they may have a little nute burn. Usually too much nitrogen will start burning the tips of the leaves. If you're using CFL's you can probably drop those lights down to just 3-4 inches from the plants and you'll get a few extra lumens to your plants that way. I let my plants touch the lights sometimes, CFL's don't really get that hot. I've noticed that if the lights are right on top of the plants they grow short but bushy as hell. I dunno what you're aiming for but I definitely want as many nodes as possible.

Im using 1050watts hps all together and the hang 14 inches from top of the plants i could get away with hanging them lower since it is winter time and the ambient temp around the plants is 74F with a fan blowing on them but yeah the reflectors are hung on these lame chains and its a hassel to lower them..i need to invest in some of those rope pulleys! The plants look nute burned cause when they were in the rockwool they got nute burned...the new leaves show no signs of nute burn and are growing green and healthy.

Day 6: all my readings are the same except for my ppm it has gone up from day 1 of 470 ppm to 500 ppm on day 6! I'm thinking maybe I need to calibrate my meter? Anyone else got any suggestions? Also I took the plant my father made me put in the backyard because of my grow "limit" in the system today below are the pics of her she is one beat up torn up girl at the moment things are looking grim for her... my brother predicts if she does not die right away she will not be able to keep up with the growth and will not get enough light...anyways I'm rooting for her! Today I also cleared a bunch of crap with the help of my dad to make more room to keep things nice and organized! We also put up plastic to block of the section of the grow room from the noisy neighboors! I found that black plastic used for putting down on the ground while painting works great along with gorilla tape. Anyone think my struggle girl will make it?

Use superthrive/microbrew combo to revive the plants, once the plants develop new sets of leaves, they will have more energy to produce more sets of leaves and so on. So growth is going to double in time and size very soon.

*Update on Grow* Day 7: Roots haven't breached the water yet so I am starting to hand feed the plants with os 5.8 ph water...even though I should of done this from the start! Hopefully they hit the water soon! Also ever since I put up the black plastic sheeting the ambient temp has gone up from 74F to 83F!

yes it looks like excessive nute burn but the plants dont seem to have a dark green blueish hue to them so it cant be nitrogen toxity i would dump the res use ph water a bit of superthrive an jus a bit of base nute maybe 3/4 strength , try them on that for a few days an see if they start to recover if the leaves start to yellow a bit you could allways up it ,with plants that big the root mass should be pretty big by now you should have roots in the water , just try the ph water bit superthrive an 3/4 strength nutes mate it cannot do any harm just till they get a bigger root mass peace

The reason the plants are that big is because I received them that big as clones in rockwool cubes. The nute burn is from when I hand watered the clones with some nutes while in rockwool. I plan to handwater the plants with a mixture of 10ml of Superthrive and 30ml of Microbe Brew in a 1 Gallon Water jug. Here are some pics of my updated grow room and the deathly looking plant i mentioned a few post ago that was transplanted from the backyard.

Day 8 on grow since transplant of clones started a foliar Spray 2ml of SuperThrive 3ml GH Grow 2ml Gh Micro 1ml Gh Bloom...all in ph 5.9 water in one of those home depot sprayers hopefully this will revive the plants a little from the shock and abuse i have put them through so far! I also took some measurements and noticed a average of 2 inch growth per plant except for the recently transplanted backyard plant of course.

Day 9: Roots started to show at the bottom of the net pot! although not all of the net pots are showing roots =( 1 day of top feeding superthrive and microbe brew did wonders for the roots!

Wowsa. I think the only thing I would comment on right away is that you seem to be using too many nutes.

I mean, I don't know who you're using Sensi in addition to the Grow-Micro-Bloom. That seems like double dosing your plants. I've just been using the Sensi stuff and nothing else for my base.

But hey, I love watching growers who have more money and resources than I ever will. Rock on........

I hope you harvest a lot, with the money you're going through in nutes. That really seems to be excessive, but then again I have never flowered in DWC. (I am vegging two currently) I am planning on using lucas formula and saving a ton....

Everything he has listed is necessary, using only the lucas formula only gives you the base nutrients. You still need macro and micro nutrients, additives, bacteria, enzymes, vitamins and so on. If you are growing for fun then yeah the lucas formula will work, but if your serious about growing then you need all the essentials in maximizing your plants genetics (i.e. various nutrients and additives)

Not a big deal though everyone starts out as a noob in the beginnning

I mean, I love watching it, so maybe I should stop my whining. I'd rather watch everyone else's grows than try something as extensive as this.
