yeah when i start a seed i usually do 24-0 til it pops and leave it on that sched for 3ish days then bump down to 20-4 for a few more days then 18/6 for the rest of their lives, since i am running autos.

Topped Group D today at 17 days of Veg.
The plan is to put these into 2 gallon pots, but I was waiting till these went into flower. Since it would be a tight fit to get another two 2 gallon pots in my cab, what I'm going to do is give them a day or so to recover from topping, then put them into flower in these small pots.
My Bigger plants from group B have another 20 days or so before they're finished. So I will give this Group D another 20 days or so in flower in these small pots before the transplant. I hope they do ok until then.
On another note, I am totally stoked with the way these seedlings grew. It took some time but I found a mixture I like, but I think I have found it. As I mentioned I haven't had the best luck with FF for seedlings. And The Miracle Grow Moisture control and Wild Orchid nuked my seedling like FF did. The best I have used so far has been the Miracle Grow Organic mix along with some blood Meal. The Organic alone seemed to grow the seedlings safely but EXTREMELY slowly. Adding Blood Meal to the mix helped tremendously.
Here are some before and after shots of the topping.

I'll be looking forward to your journal. Cloning, I haven't really tried it. I did cut one off a while back and stuck it in a piece of rock wool to see if it would grow. Nothing happened though. I do plan to eventually add that to the process though one day.
I've noticed. I'm hoping I can get some much easier management with my grow via more topping and less LST.

So hypothetically, I am reporting from various anonymous sources mostly imagined, and mainly, well pretty much exclusively by myself, well actually very much so ONLY myself, but all of that is again hypothetical..... that the herb is LITERALLY getting better by the day. It smells better, it feels better, it vaporizes better, it feels MUCH MORE POTENT, delivers a much nicer, smoother high, it also TASTES so much nicer and gradual while vaporizing (before it would go from sweet to sour immediatly) and is just excellent all around. With the way it seems to cure, I would think it will be exponentially better still at my minimum 2 week cure 4 days from now. And at 3 weeks, should be AMAZING!!!!
Am definitely looking forward to some cured Jock Horror to contrast with!!!
What is particularly cool, is any herb I have had prior that I got from someone else, it was just no name stuff we call "Reggie." Which is just our way of calling it 'Regular weed.' And any prior harvests I've had have just been bagseed I've casually grown. And each batch from someone, or each plant I grew would be very different from the others. I would have something I really liked, then something I didn't much care for, so I would clearly know that they are different, but no real yard stick to measure.
But now, I am getting to develop a palette for what various strains have to offer in the way of their characteristics. It is kind of exciting, especially since I am the one that is seeing these little things develop from seedling through full cure!!!! So while there may be many variations of the strains I'm growing, I at least have a general idea of what each is probably like.
btw.... as I am typing this, I am again hypothetically, and definitely not really, a bit 'Lifted' at the moment from aforementioned herb. Total full body buzz, head high right now. Cognizant and not so at the same time, as I am typing this. Very nice relaxed feeling. TO that effect, I also notice that various points of soreness from exercise are completely feeling normal right now. Wow!!!

Group B(Northern Lights): Currently Day 48 and 43 of Flower
Group C(Northern Lights): Currently Day 12 of Flower
Group D(Jock Horror): Currently Day 24 of Veg
Group A(Northern Lights): COMPLETED Day 58 of Flower
So today completed another round of "Making it Rain" for ALL of the plants I have. I took some pics while I had them in in the bathroom.

Group B:
My most mature plants that received LST mainly. In about 2 weeks I should be chopping down the larger one. The mutant is trying to grow those bigger buds, but so far is still pretty dwarfed by the plant that started off better and is a full 5 days ahead of it.

Group C:
This is the one Northern Lights girl that received topping to get 4 main colas. I will be doing some tying down as necessary to keep them from getting burned by the light. In the pics you can see how the 4 main colas are progressing. I think it is pretty cool. This one will remain in this small 1/2 gallon pot throughout the grow.

Group D:
These are the two Jock Horrors that I have currently in Veg. I am still happy with their growth, although of course one is a tad smaller than the other. I will be moving these two into flower in just about a week from now. They'll be moved in these small pots for initially. Once both of the plants from Group B are harvested, I'll be re potting this group into larger 2 gallon pots. At that time I will be planting two more JH seeds in my vegging cab.

So I finally got a chance to measure my harvest. Of the 2 plants, one was 37 and the other was 39 grams.
This is completely dry weight (3 weeks), minus a few nugs that have been "sampled" and ALL of the larger branches removed.
Quite a ways off from that goal of 1 gram per watt, but I think I can do better next time. My flower chamber can support about twice the amount of plants than I pulled from that first harvest. I'm not sure if I'll get the amount of light coverage I need, but my goal now will be to try and keep it full at all times now.

Just making some notes here. I moved the Jock Horror pots into the main chamber. So I have 5 plants total in there now. You can see the two new additions in the very front of the cab.
Should have another 9-10 days on one of the bigger NLs in there. And the other should finish a week after that. After I pull those two big pots out, I will repot the Jock HOrrors into bigger pots.

lookin real good man. thw plant ont he right look like they are getting a lil warm. how are the temps lookin for ya? have you thought of trying to make a cool tube for that dude?

It does get a bit warm in there. Temps in the case prob about 85 or so lately. BUt the problem isn't the whole case, it's just this hot spot more or less under the light. So you can see how I kinda try to keep a 'pocket' under directly under the light empty. It does burn things if I place them directly under the light.
I would love a cool tube, especially if it's something I can build myself w/o buying one, they are pretty expensive. Any links for building one?

man check out the grow room design forum there is a diy section with tons of ideas on home made cool tubes. if not i found one for 79 bucks with a reflector online at hidhut i think. its made for a 150hps

I saw a few on ebay for about $50 I think, which were just kinda crappy versions of what I want. They might do the job though. I am also contemplated just getting a baking clear glass pyrex tube, which can be had for around $20, and maybe fashioning something out of that with some tubing, some clamps and a PC fan. So I'm not sure.
On another note, started vegging two more Jock Horror seeds this morning.

Just some random pics, after all everyone loves pics!!!
Gave them the heavy watering with nutes after "Making it Rain" last week.
You can see the two small pots with Jock Horror that have been topped right in the front of the cab. Directly behind those two sits another small 1/2 gallon pot with Northern Lights that have been topped and has it's 4 colas that are very tall. Flanked out on the sides are the two most mature Northern Lights in full 2 gallon pots. The bigger one on the left will be harvested this weekend, and the other the weekend after that.
On another thought, it 'might' not be a huge deal, and it is probably just because I have two plants right at the end of flower..... but my cab REAKS!!! My whole house smells like freshly cut herb. So I either need to vent this thing creatively somehow, get a jar of Oana, one of those de-ionizing lights or get a filter.
I wonder if Oana smells bad?
