Kangen Water...Does anyone use it here?

I was picking up some RO water from a nutritional store and I was stopped by a business next door when they saw me with the empty water jugs. The sale a machine called Kangen Water. The machine can adjust your water to what ever PH you choose and removes certain things in the water leaving only the good. So they demonstrate the machine and give you free water for 21 days. They give you a 3 days supply for each person in your household. I was told the water starts to "die" after 3 days.

I want to use this on my next grow. It adds oxygen to the water as well. Check the second link for more detail an growing with it.

There are two reasons why variations of waters provided by the Kangen Water Machine are helpful in providing nourishment for your garden. These are the pH and ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential) which both provide a deficiency of, or abundance of, extra electrons to the water. Because the 5.5 pH acid water is “Hungry” it assists in the dissolving of inorganic matter (solid mineral rock) in the soil and helps with the ion exchange that produces alkaline plant matter in the hydrogen ion exchange. The lower pH also encourages helpful soil microbes.

Alkaline water can enhance the initial germination process for plants. Slightly alkaline water can help stimulate this process and stimulate growth. Edit: I have used one gallon so far of PH 5.5 water and I will say the nutes seemed to have started dissolving instantly and better. When I was using tap/Ro the water stayed clear (using Dyna-Gro nutes) but when I added to the Kangen Water the water turned the light green color of the nutes! I thought about the part of the demonstration video when the guy added the PH 2.0 Kangen water to a cup of oil and it turned into a cloudy mess, water and oil mixed, instant degreaser!

My advice is go find whoever was gibbering at you and give em a good solid kick to the groin. Then forcibly brush their teeth.
Then, preferably, flee the scene and make a permanent escape. It's the only way of dealing with huskers like this.

Importance of pH and ORP

ORP stands for Oxidation – Reduction Potential which is the potential of a substance to reduce oxidation. Oxidation is similar to rust, it is the breakdown of any material when exposed to oxygen. A certain amount of oxidation is essential to life, but an excessive amount and the living structure being oxidized loses its integrity and its ability to properly function. This is what we imply by saying that free radicals are the ions that cause oxidation.

•Coke has a pH of 2.8 making it one of the most acidic of beverages, just slightly less acidic than sulphuric acid. Its ORP is also +410 making it very damaging to cells.

•Pepsi is just a little better for pH at 3.2, but its ORP is worse at +450.

•Sprite has a pH of 3.5 with an even worse ORP of +550.

•Propel Fitness Water is a step up from that at 3.6, but is still very acidic, and when it is marketed to athletic individuals it can wreak havoc with tissues, since muscle strengthening and conditioning alone create large amounts of metabolic acids such as lactic and pyruvic acid. Its ORP is better at +280 which explains why it tends to make people feel more energetic.

•Aquafina water may have a pH of 5.2 making it better than some, but its ORP is an astounding +542.

•Reverse Osmosis water may have a much more acceptable pH of 6.5 (making it still on the acidic side of the scale), but its ORP is the highest of almost any beverage at +586.

•Red Bull is also very acidic at 3.2 pH, but it’s the ORP that kills at +462.

•Gatorade is a 3.5 pH and its ORP is +325 which is due to the high level of sodium it contains.

•Wine has quite an acidic pH of 4.05, but its ORP is lower at +232 which is explained in many clinical studies of the antioxidant effect of grapes and red wine.

•Starbucks coffee actually appears to be one of the best choices at a pH of 5.5 and an ORP of +175, but don’t forget the effects of the caffeine. Decaffeinated coffee will have a much lower pH, making it not the healthy choice you may have thought.

•Tap water comes in at a pH of 7.2 and has an average ORP of +370, but both of those amounts tend to be chemically produced by additives and purification processes that municipalities utilize

oxidation-reduction potential measurements are largely meaningless unless the particular redox reactions are specified...
please...provide some details so we may all have a more informed opinion of this.

Last year before I started my grow, I convinced my buddy to try a sample, which was in one of those BIG Absopure-type 5 gallon jugs. He switched to it and said there was not a huge difference from the tap water he used before. For $4,000 he said it's not really worth it to a small time grower using soil. Maybe a large-commercial grower doing hydroponics would benefit and could also justify the hefty price tag.

when i saw the $4,200 price tag...didnt need to know anything more about it...like im going to spend that much on that thing when a bottle of ph up or down and a air pump can get the same results....bring the price down to like say...29.99 and ill buy it till then...ill keep spending the $25 a year i spend now to get the same water...no need to quote shit off their site...people that buy that shit are the same people that think a sham-wow can suck a swimming pool dry...slack jawed consumers

I do use this water on everything. In my regular vegetable garden I found what PH each of the vegetables liked, and I always gave it the Kangen in the right PH. My garden went nuts, I grew huge veggies and a very large abundance from the plants.

My daughter brought me over to Cannabis plants to nurse back to health. They both got the 9.5 Kangen for one watering them 5.5 there after. I was shocked at how well these plants came back and at how well they flowered. She used only Kangen on her small indoor crop and got great results. I also use the 2.5 as a percausion for mites, aphids and any other pest/disease that might try to come in.

It is an expensive unit, but not only did the plants react better, so does our health. I have lots of stories on what it has done for peoples health!

So our plants only get Kangen!

I've used the Kangen water before to keep my body PH at a high level. If you can afford one you should buy it *for your health*, but you can also use it for your plants too. I fully believe it would make a big difference. I guess you've seen the experiment where someone boils water on the stove top, lets it cool and waters their plants with it (nothing happens), then boils water in the microwave, lets it cool and waters the plants and they DIE. Yeah, water is very important to all life.

My buudy has one and brings me water all the time,i only drink it. I have wondered about feeding it to plants but since i need 40 gals at a time we havent brought it over to fill up the res...What results did you see with feeding it to your plants ?

I am going to do a deep water hydro system with the Kagen water. I would never spend the $$$ on a new machine but since my dad has one am gonna try it.

I also own one of these units, and as other owners have stated in various ways, the subjective experience confirms what the science already knew - waters of varying pH levels have a seemingly endless list of uses.

8.5-9.5 pH for most all personal consumption

5.5-6.0 pHfor plants and healthy skin

2.5 pH to sanitize just as well as bleach

11.5 pH for emulsifying oils (most pesticides, fungicides, etc... are oil-based and leave residues on many types of produce)

This doesn't even scratch the surface of possibilities, but numbers don't lie - it is more expensive to NOT own a machine. Yep, they can protest all they want, but once you calculate how much an average household spends on various cleaners, laundry products, personal care & hygiene items, BOTTLED WATER, and so on VS. using these waters in place of many, if not all, of them...I challenge someone to prove otherwise - not in a condescending manner, but as a way to bring a better understanding of the topic as a whole.

Would I spend $4K for one of these as a source of garden water? HEEEELLLLLLLLL NO.
But for changing my entire lifestyle and the inherent long-term value? Without question.

To be able to literally use water to get rid of bugs is pretty amazing. For the person spraying anything on their plants and definitely for anyone smoking the flower. We recently used the 2.5 water to sanitize our room instead of bleach can’t begin to tell you what a more pleasant experience that was.
