thanks for posting the tree i was mentioning shiska! i kind of get lost on it though as it seems sour d can come from either chemdawg d or chemdawg 91'. i have no idea where my is from so i can just assume that it was a clone of some previous chemdawg that showed different pheno then the most. either way im sure ill get some good genetics from the seeds its producing!

First rate explanation. Thanks D!

I'm going to be spluffing a few girls this week in my grow as well so I'll be putting your advice to use too.

Thanks DST. Again, just what I was looking for. The tips are the real valuable stuff, probably wouldn't have found that anywhere else. I was already planning on using the lower buds, just so I'm not using prime real estate, but never thought of the others. That leaves just two questions then. Can you put her right back in the tent or do you wait, and how long? And, is there any drawbacks to doing it early with 10 weeks still left or should I wait? Again, I really appreciate it. Here's some shots of Jackie to share. Finally a Queen! Day 23 12/12. She's quite thin and lanky but then again she's very sativa, as you can see. Replacing my nutes with something else, not sure what yet, and starting back up on them again, now that she's greening up again.

It's been about 5 days now and no luck with my Sour OG x Sweet Deep Grapefruit seeds... I'm going to give them a few more days and probably cancel them if there's no sign of them.

i cant verify personally. but the weed detective in me says its got to be if not the line very close to it. dont remember wher i got it but i saved it to my desktop a while ago. but from my point of view its alll speculation. what have u heard?
I have just heard the usual stories to be honest, Shishka and that's what they are, stories, lol. People can't even decide if OG is Ocean Grown, or Original Gansta, or possibly, Original Genotype, haha.
All I know is the the original seeds came from bag seed and that when I have smoked Sour D, OG Kush, or any other strains of this linneage, they are all fairly similar to be honest. So I don't think it matters really. As long as the strain you have is a good one.
The guy from Cali COnnection claimed to have a cut from the original Sour D and then proceeded to say he didn't like the guy who made Casey Jones (due to theft of the strain, sourd) so whatever the background I care not a jot....it can all be left to the, "Oh I got the real cut gang", like they fukking spliced the genes and atoms together to make MJ in the first place!!!

I'll tell you something else, I have various OG Kush (bagseeds) that I have had for several years now (my current OG Kush is one of them) and the owner of a very popular Coffeeshop is going to be running that strain as his top Kush variation. Without blowing the plants own trumpet I have not smoked a stronger kush. You will still be fukked the next day! Now I can't really claim that to be the OG OG kush, lol, but it's a better representation than anything DNA genetics have to sell (their recent Reserva Privada OG is throwing out a million and one phenos by all accounts.) However, I can't say anything as my OG kush bagseed came from weed they grew!

It's all a pile of incestuous crap if you ask me. If you have a nice strain, you have a nice strain. Everything else is just ganja history hype. I mean all the abuse on RIU towards DNA and their Headband strain with people from the US saying clone only, this that and the other...so what, these two guys crossed two plants together and created a strain and called it Headband...just like lots of car companies who manuafacture GT cars....they are all different, but they are all GT cars!!!

When people want to call a strain something popular so be it, Caveat Emptor applies in the MJ world I am afraid!

1/ I tend to put back in the tent after a few minutes. Providing you are not using a spray can then there shouldn't really be that much pollen floating around (seriously just a small application on your brush!)
2/ I would leave it until at least week 3 of 12/12 - week 2 flower. You want the bud you are spluffing to have a number of hairs to it so as to have more chance of it taking. To be 100% I have also re-applied more a week after the first application. This will also ensure that new stigmas are also pollenated, providing maximum number of baby seeds, yah!

Good luck, I like the photo shoot with the Ramones! And the lady looks very sat dom, lovely lithe body! Give her a chance for her breast to grow before shovelling some jizz on her, haha.

Peace,

DST

First, update of the DPQ and Blue Livers that are now in jars and ready for the cure me thinks...

Deep Blue

DPQ

3 Little Birds in my window box....

From Left to right we got

DOG CHEESE
I think the DOG's been a naughty thing (this was from one of the DOG sacs that appeared on one of my girls). I spluffed the BX2 cheese with it. These should be fem but will also risk running the herm side, but hopefully with the regular cheese it shouldn't be too bad. Going into that period when nanners would appear so monitoring the situation but nothing. Certainly has the deep green insensity to the leaves from the OG Kush side, but I think the buds are growing a bit more like BX2 in the structure, but a bit early to tell. Smell isn't that cheesey either... scratch head. Perhaps that will also lean towards the DOG side of the moon as well.

The Malawi. a seed from the fairy

And the BX2 x BX2 backcross...it is so sticky it's unreal. Very stinky as well.

So the 3 of these are in a long window ledge type pot. Got them up on the top shelf where the naughty mags are kept, haha.

And on to the Engineers Dream...also as sticky as can be, the bud structure and stickyness reminds me of the CJ quite a lot. This one also went into 12/12 without any real vegtime. I think I am going to like the Engineers Dream me thinks.

I have also done a DPQBX2 male X Super Silver Haze....be interesting to see, A, if the SSH is actually a good smoke, and B, if the traits from the DPQ and the BX2 can be introduced to the long flowering, but super vigorous SSH! Lets see, one for the future.

Peace, DST

Hi Brick20, well you have certainly got a line up to work with. Matching two of those together without having a look and understanding what each of the pheno's you have is doing would be pretty hard.

What I would perhaps start doing if I had that many different strains is start to put a spreadsheet together. List all the properties of each strain and then group them under headings in your spreadsheet (you obviously have a PC or you wonld'nt be on RTIU, lol, but an old school pen and paper would also work lol)

So as a clue: Flowering period, Sativa dom, Indica dom, ruderallis, Smells, Yield, High, Type of growth, Bud structure, vigour, (plus and minuses), nute intake, dominant traits, negative traits, and so on and so forth. Once you got a list of this then you can look to see easier which ones you could mix to make that ultimate strain....hope that makes sense. Otherwise I would just be saying, that name looks interesting, cross it with that....and that's not the way to do it.

Hope that helps,

DST

thats a long lineup brick mate. U must have loadsa room then lol. I recon ull need a book or something to get down all the traits u want from each strain. D i thought thats how we did it by name lol

haha, not far from the truth Westy, lol. It's slightly easier to choose when you are limited to a handfull of genetics....but when the genetics are that good, perhaps the name is more important, lol....

well if u can narrow it down to all good sought after traits with solid genetics u may as well play with the names lol. My boys are defo reveging in my living room lol. Might stik em bk under a 12/12 ragimeme. Or maybe clone em and bin em??

DST

Pretty much so, like sticking a ferrari engine in a lambourguini..or something like that, lol. I think either would be okay. Although with a reveg you are going to have a nice root structure already in place.....not sure about that one Mr West.....????

Off to chop my DOG, Deep Psychosis and a Headband

i hope i can get some smell frosty bx2 f2s. does ur female have foxtailing buds. does she smell early in flowering? how long did u let her go? any advise for a first timer with 3 males bx2's and 1 female?

I just put a pic of one in my own journal...8 and a bit weeks and it's coming down soon. foxtailing, lime greenness, very stinky, long ass tricks. The fan leaves and sugar leaves start bumping up quite quickly and the trichs come on pretty fast so early smells too.
