aint just me...lol....just showing you what my age group did and went through it was all pot and free sex.........alot of clashers with the police......draft dogers in canada......Army Killing students a kent state ohio...............yea we all talk aobu how it was cool in our hippy days but we paid dearly for that freedom.............just me....tons of ppl right her eon RIU can tell ya all about it............Im just loud and want ppl to see LOL

Thank you Pony for your time in the service. I have a few friends that served around your time frame and the stories they have are amazing and disturbing.
I wasn't born till 81' but I love learning about history from the people that made it. We are here because of what your time accomplished, thank you.

Wow.. 1969!?! I wasn't even born then..
I was born in 1982. Speaking of which... my birthday just past by. Turned 29 years old this past February 6th. Funny thing is.. is my parents always told me that the older you get... the faster it seems to go by. I'm starting to realize and see for myself.. exactly what they meant by that.
Though.. I really don't feel 29 years old. I feel much younger.. and look much younger. I guess thats a good thing though. Like they always say.. your only as old as you feel.

i wasn't even born till the summer of 71 stoned, but i am glad that we have people around still like yourself who are willing to share their stories with us youngsters.. that video of the unseen war in vietnam was tough to watch, but i'm glad i did.. reminds me that war isn't just some 5 minute news clip in fox or cnn and that it actually was and still is a very horrible thing..

We just moved from Gallup to Farmington. It was only 93 miles away but a whole world of difference as far as culture. I first learned about racism in Farmington. Coming from Gallup we had a distinct latino accent. Gallup has a large latino community and my mother is a latina. My two oldest brothers started getting into fights every day. A group of boys ganged up on them and would beat the snot out of them. Which they regretted later. My brothers became two tough hombres. I was 6 at the time.
Then we moved to the boonies 2 years later and I grew up on the Navajo reservation. Best time of my life.

met someone in ohio that went to kent state at a cleveland indians game about 3 years ago...it was cool to meet someone that was there but sad to listen to all the things that happened.
the good ol' days man.

and i agree.. music today is soo over produced and shit.. not that i don't love some of the music today.. i even love a lot of electronica, which is nothing but production.. but there is something about the rawness of the music back than.. it will never be done again..
