I was in a diaper sucking on mama's tit just short of my 1st year birthday. I remember seeing the "shotgun" video many times in my life. I think, "Man, what about the lead and powder residue your inhaling..." But in that setting, that was the least of those men's worries.

i've never seen that video before. and thought it was pretty awesome, had always wondered where the term had come from.. i didn't even think of the gun powder and what not, not like to me to worry about such things.. live now, die later is my motto, lol.

Many things were erupting in that era.....so much radical change.........Blacks fighting for their rights and geting shit beat out of em..........hippies wanting peace and getting shit kicked out of them.........Students wanting to learn and getting the shit kicked out of them.....and Government forceing children to fight in a war and dieing and getting shit kicked out of them...and yes we were just out of highschool....I ask you honestly....when you got out of the 12th grade were you really ready to be an adult at 18 years of age.......we were children taught to kill and many a many a brave young child went to nam and came back a very very angry man...............every vet deals with it his own way...Im no better or less I am a brother to all the vets we are equal during war.......all the heros are buried..........I just got lucky and lived that is all...but if I can pass on any knowlege to the younger ppl I will..........and it doesnt have to be about war but fuck President Eisenhower held me in his arms when he came on the campainge trail in parents area and my mom handed me to him.............you know shit like that ...no I dont remember but it happend.....and in my life time as so many others that are close to my age Ive seen many many changes some good some bad.............But damn LSD and sexy women were the shits back then LOL...................ok Ill post anothe of my favorite bands in a second.......had to take a break from reading 40 pages of fighting in the suicide post... damn I leave for a few hours and 40 pages of post LOL....anyways thank you all for comeing to this small area of the internet and enjoying the old mans memories and music and to you you vets Welcome Back.............

What a great thread SP !!!! Takes me back to those days in the 60's, before FM radio and life was much simpler.....My home theater system is well stocked with concert vids from those days........College in the 60's was GREAT.....fine "wholesome" women....very few drugs....lot of parties with no drive by shootings.....oh I still love the babes but so many of'em now come with so much baggage............

i always remember being maybe six or seven'ish and my sister playing the woodstock album.. she would always sing along to this one loudly, and thus always sticks out in my memory..
