I just need a convienent way to setup the ro to get it water. I am looking at having to drill through the underneath of my bathroom to get garden hose the the 57 gallon tank In the back room. Not real ideal to have the 57 gallon tank in the bathroom. LOL.
Just remember height gives pressure. Not volume or width.
Furthermore there is a water line that goes through my backroom into bathroom in basement. I get possibly make the hole a little bigger to get a hose. At least it would be under the sink in a cabinet where the drilling would occur. Suggestions.
This sounds like a good idea. Install an inline spiggot and connect the RO just before the bathroom sink. Basically anytime you need RO water you turn on the spiggot under the sink, the spiggot will connect a hose to your back room. Your bathroom sink will also have RO water.

I just came up on a 3 part 55gal rain collection system. All three 55 gal drums have spiggots... I also have 3- 4'x4' flood tables. I havent made the jump to full fledged hydro yet. After harvesting this organic soil grow and comparing to the synthetic hydro....its a tough call. Yield and potency or flavor and potency? Ill stick with the latter.

Give me a moment and I will take some pics of my last grow for the season.
By the way GG. Give us an update my man. Lets see some of your current pics. I could not find anything within the last month and I know you have to have some goodies in one of the rooms.

Nice harvest. Fat and Dense colas.
So I'm still stuck on Sharks Breath, got a minute to tell me about the high?
It's a sativa high if I remember correctly. The plant grows pretty easily and low maintenance and she produces huge fat dense colas. I was planning a breeding program with my SB and a few others but decided to just stick to growing for now and will probably end up dropping the SB strain after the next one I have, which will be my 3rd. I would recommend growing it, it's a good high and tastes and smells sweet. :leaf: I think it took about 63 days from seed to harvest

Beautiful plant brotha! I would agree, she needed a few more days...evident by the green still left in the leafs. Nice trim job btw. +rep. How do you like that uncle bens? That lineup gettin popular around there? A buddy of mine has the whole lineup, we got it from a nutrient expo..that sugaree smells great eh?
I like it and just ran out so I've been feeding my vegging plants without it for now, I haven't noticed any difference in growth but I'm planning to pick up a new bottle this weekend. For now I only run the Uncle Johns Blend. I add it to my Pro Bloom that I use for vegging plants and my Gravity Harderner for flowering plants. I do like the way that Sugaree smells :D if it were edible I'd try it, hahaha

Question... Are you saying the RO system should be lower then where I want the fill line? Or should I just hookup the float valve I bought??

Im not sure if i fully understand your setup and what you are doing. If you are using raincollector and it is draining to a hose to the back room, you want to make sure everything runs down hill right? well if you want more pressure, simply install your rain collecter higher. if you are using the pressure from the water supply to your house, you dont need to worry about that.

I have the whole thing setup now so thank you for your help. As of now I do have to manually turn off water after filling up the 57 gallon resovoir. I would like to have it so it fills up and stops filling after it reaches a certain point. By way of a float valve. Well I have the float valve just need to figure out a way to make it work without having to drill holes in the side of my resoivoir to hang the float valve. I imagine that could turn into some water flooding issues.

When we get to warm weather I am going to be installing 2 collectors for rain water.... might as well use what the heavens give you... I plan on running 2 and I have a small submersible pump so I can pump water into the resevoir in the grow room....

I will start posting picks next week... the ladies are loving the all organic treatment.... very lush plants with very little internode spacing .... this could turn out really good....

good mornin GG and the organic crew. had a quick question for you all. I'm watering about every 5 days right now w/ my SmartPots (finally got everything dialed, btw), and am wondering how long I should be flushing for with organics? I'm growing BB Cheese, which I'm told will truly finish out around 9 weeks or so. When you guys reckon I should start flushing? As well, any of you guys ever use a flushing agent? Thnx. . .

:peace: everybody...

Good Morning Bobotrank~ I too use smart pots and I tell you, when you water/feed water around the edge of pot/s then wait 20 mins and water /feed throughly. As for flushing, well I have learned that you can safely flush at 7 days away from harvest and have no bad taste or ugly burn, etc.

Flushing Organics~ I pull all my plants out and flush heavy (3 gallons water) then wait 20 mins and flush again, wait 10 mins then flush with Molasses (2 tbl per gallon/ 3 gallons per pot).

Thanks GG. I knew you'd come to the rescue lol :)

I've really only got about 2 gal of soil in each pot (I didn't end up filling them all the way up), so does that mean I should just do 2 gal for my heavy flush? As well, any specifics as to what type of Molasses?

I read your water technique for SPs awhile back and have been employing it proudly. Def need to let the soil get a little moist so all the juices don't just flow down the sides... very smart, you are! Probably wouldn't have figured that one out as fast. I'd +rep you, but I can't, so it'll have to wait. Thanks bro! :peace:

Ok so your working with 2 gal pots. Take a plastic tub/lid (5$) from wal mart and put a pot upside down in it, then sit your plant to be flushed on top of that so when you water/flush you can take your time and really soak her extremely well as water drains out bottom and into tub. Then wait 20 mins. Then dump out old water and start another flush, this one will take out all the stuff that the first watering dissolved. After 20 mins do a last flush of 2 tbls per gallon (1-3 gallons) of Black Strap Molasses, stir well. Black Strap in unsulphured Organic and has the highest percentage of Potassium and magnesium.
It can be found in any hippie store or Organic store, like Market of Choice.

Thanks bro! Yeah, sorry, spaced on my actual soil usage until I looked at yours and realized they were full. I'm planning ahead w/ this whole thing, but wanted to see what the organic guru himself had to say about flush methods, and not be rushed with making the right purchase of tools...
