Don't trip, I was the exact same way... It's tantric breathing basically; you clear your head as best you can & focus on your breathing. Then you learn how to focus your breathing energy up through your bodies energy centers (chakras) and that's when it get's gnarly good... let me find a book to recommend besides the Bhagavad Gita..

...not that I DON'T recommend the Bhagavad Gita!! quite the contrary, but it can be a daunting read. especially as a starting point. Namaste
