DOOOOO NOOOOOTTTTT USSSSEEE RRROOOCCCCKKKKWWWWOOOOOOOOOLLLL MMMYYYY FFFRRRIIIIEEENNNNDDDDDDD.... IF YOU CARE, ASK ME WHY. also, you are wasting money by buying both the floranova grow and floranova bloom.. all you need is the bloom and some magical.
Thx for the encouraging words.good work Danielson!! nah im serious 6 they are healthy, and a CMH is prolly my next investment, i hope she arrives for you in time for pre flower
...............NiceThx for the encouraging words.
As for the CMH bulb...was a shame it didnt fire up. The filament near the socket just lite up a lil purple but wouldnt spread to the full bulb and light up. Im assuming it is a defect and not a ballast compatability issue. Its a hydrofarm compact 250 hps sun.system. The cmh bulb is suppose to work on magnetic ballast. Anyways i just received the return label from the vendor so just need to ship it out for the replacement.
Serapis, in the 'hempy method', you are continually hand pouring a nute solution over the top of the medium to fill up a 2" res at the bottom. If you use rockwool as your starter; instead of a jiffy pellet in hempy, you are always going to have a concentrated amount of solution right at the base of the root/stem conjunction, which makes the plant believe that all available resources are within the first 2-3 inches of the medium, which in the hempy method you do not want occuring, you want the roots to search and find their way down into your 'Created' water table.. this exploration of roots will also increase your size of plant, amount of shoots, and yield. Correct me if i am wrong but more/bigger root system = bigger better healthier plants. this is just from experience. when cloning in the jiffys, i wait for 1-2 roots to start coming out of the pellet bag, i then remove the netting that keeps the pellet 'whole' so when i transplant into my perlite/vermc mix, there is a smooth adaptation of mediums.. again this is just personal experience, and the peat moss has alot of trace nutes/minerals for your young cuttings to thrive.
MMJ, how big is your container? idk if i over read that info or just didnt see it.. refresh my memory..
So would 8ml FNB be used throughout the grow? Is that the max dosage? Is 8ml like a starting dosage for all types of grow methods including hempy?Run it at 8ml mmj I started with 7ml first watering then stepped up
I do exactly the same - strike cuttings in Jiffy pellets and as soon as the roots show through the pellet casing, I remove the casing and gently wash away the peat.Sorry, again I have to disagree. A growing plant will not have root ends in the rockwool, the only thing in the rockwool at that point is the stem/stalk of the plant. Your 2" reservoir at the bottom of the hempy bucket isn't going to do a young plant any good to begin with. The roots are going to grow out of the rockwool, trust me....
btw, you don't have to remove the casing from a pellet.. the roots grow right through it..
