Plants get energy by photosynthesis, the tops of the leaves is what performs the photosynthesis so you should place the light as close as an inch away from the topside of the leaves(probably the lower leaves since the light looks pretty short). If you add a higher spectrum bulb it definetly wouldn't hurt the plants but instead i would just add another red bulb. If the nutes are working I wouldn't change anything IMO (if something isn't broken don't fix it).yes i can move it its a coil neck lamp lol where do you think it should be? also these are on the lower k side because i do want red spectrum should i still add something with 4100k-6000k? and how is my nutrients at 15-30-15? it seems to be working to me
i was wanting to do that instead of buyin another coil neck but would a splitter be able to fit in that small lamp? or should i just buy something like a ground post for a flood lamp and put a spliter in thatYay! She looks way happier! You might want to buy a "Y" splitter and have that coil neck lamp running two bulbs...
You'll probably have to put in a small extension before the splitter. You can get them cheap at Home Depot. http://www.amazon.com/Porcelain-Medium-Base-Socket-Extender/dp/B000XQ02POi was wanting to do that instead of buyin another coil neck but would a splitter be able to fit in that small lamp? or should i just buy something like a ground post for a flood lamp and put a spliter in that
This is my first go-round, so all I can tell you is my experience so far. I would read through the stickies in the CFL section to get the run down from someone with more expertise. https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/how many plants do you have off of 10 cfls? i plan on making 2 grow boxes one for flowering and one for veg im looking to be able to support 4-6 plants in each grow box what would i need if i used cfls?
i also like your idea of pvc to rig your lights...do you run the wires through and attach he splitters in through holes you drilled?
