From what I've heard the plants in hydro setups can get quite large, but I'm not going for anything that big, since I'm just using CFL's to flower. As for the nutrients, I went to my local hydro store the cheapest A & B Veg base nutes possible, I believe the entire purchase set me back like 20 bucks. I don't have anything to check PPM's, so I'm going by recommended dosage and just monitoring my plants. I'll start using micro nutes when I flower, but I'm all about doing things for as cheap as possible right now.
I'll probably grow indoors until I can harvest outdoors, just to keep me in some free smoke till then, but I dunno, I don't really like wasting plant limits on low producing indoor plants, so I might cut it back to only 2 indoor plants or so by August-September in case Johnny Law desides to pay me a little visit. And the plants in the DWC are definately staying in water their whole life, but I think after these plants, i'm gonna put the hydro setup away till winter, since I don't have AC and it gets nice and hot here in SoCal during the summer. Too much effort to keep the water cool, so DWC in winter, soil grows in summer I think.
Ya know, I really have no idea, they're different strains and really have drastically different genetics. Thats the glory of bagseeds! I guess when the trichome Milky:Amber ratio is correct for me, I like about 20-25% amber usually, but who knows, I'm hoping I can get some dried by April 11th so I can take some homegrown dank to Vegas.

As far as difficulty, I think outdoors is about the same as indoors, just different...A whole new set of things to think about outside...And since I'm running under CFL's indoors, and the sun is way more powerful, the yield difference is night and day...way more outdoor yield

Good stuff, nice update!Well, I done fucked up the order of everything, but the one with the pistils that stick straight up like a hard-on, thats Righty, and Lefty has the squiggly ones. Both are starting to frost up a little bit, this is them day 25 of 12/12. Anyway, i have to say i cheated, and used a expensive(4 years ago) digital camera and cropped...But some have the loupe, and some don't. It all makes me happy to look at

Good plan bud. Its all in what you are looking for. I prolly could have gone another week before harvesting but I wanted to err on the side of head high rather than more couchlock high. I did it right and man wowzers. I guess what I am trying to say is that yopu know what you want so get it ..its your grow..lol. Its amazing how fast the trichs can change daily. Good job brother! Wish I could meet you in Lost Wages man...would be an interesting trip..lol.

Ah, see when I grow outdoors, it seems like it takes forever for the trichs to start changing...It feels like I'm locked in with "clear" forever, but then again, when you check your plants exactly 3,729 times a day, it might just SEEM like it takes forever
Actually, I'm happy to chop when 90% of the trichomes are cloudy, and I like to stagger harvests outdoors sometimes. By just chopping the same plant in sections over the course of a month, making sure I label my jars, I can have the full range of a plants abilities. But yeah, thats where I figured out my 20% amber bit...lol...but then again, every strain is different.

Oh boy am I tired and lazy. So I finally told the owner of the house I live in that I'm growing...On the one hand, I'm paying a little extra for the electrical bill now, but on the other hand, no more sneaking around with my shit, so I stayed up until 3:30 this morning working on the flowering cab, and MAN does it look sweet now! First off, I bought a window exhaust fan at wally world for 20 bucks, this thing runs like a top! I ditched the forced intake for now, and am going passive till I find a solution that works, but the exhaust fan is moving a LOT of air. I tore down the black poly sheeting I was using, and put up some framework to increase the size of the cab, and then I covered all that in panda (finally!). I also made a bitching light trap for the new exhaust fan out of some excess panda. That shit it cheap, BTW, $1 a foot at my hydro store, and it's ten feet wide! So 8 bucks gets you 80 Sq. feet of the stuff!! Anyway, I intend to post pics or video later of the new room, but they're sleeping for 6 more hours...so until then, stay stoned ya'll!!

First of all, the light those 1 DAY OLD seedlings are under sits about 2" above them, i'm moving it for the pic, secondly, if you had read through my thread, you might have seen that I'm using 500+ watts between my cabs that is plenty to grow some nice dank, and third, who the fuck are you?!?
