just started my first grow and have questions

ya but do u think 2x6500 is enough light for veg i do have another ballast for t5s just need to get a fixture. because i would really like to veg under the cfls. i hear hps runs up the electric bill a bit. this is my first grow im an apprentice electrician and know alot about lights and wiring shit, and nothing bout growing this is my first experiment. if i realy wanted i could put up 6 t5s. and im using mg gardening soil, is this ok?
MY ATTIC GROW ROOM RIGHT NOW.
1 bathroom ventilation system for 100sq ft run through the roof
1 intermatic time clock
2x 6500 cfls
1 space heater to keep temps up in new england
2x 150w hps not set up yet but its simple.

any comments would be appreciated. and just to let u know i havent spent 1 dollar yet hahahah

how many watts are the t5s...Before i used to use 110 watts 2x55 watt bulbs for vegg under 6 plants did real good. The 150 hps is even a good veg light and honestly if a hps pulls 150 and cfls or t5s are actula 150 watts its using the same amount of electricity..
I would try not to use the space heater as that is where the bill would jump from because thats like using a 1000 watt light...So instead of that use the the t5s and 150s to keep the heat up..

i'd start them under the hps, in a week or 2 when they are a bit bigger add in the t5's for sidelighting. you wont need the space heater with the hps going and 300w is nothing my friend and is well worth the 5-10 bucks more it would cost to run them. hps is far more effecient than cfls, you get alot more bang for your buck per watt with hps.my 10 40w of cfls (so 400w total watts of energy is being used) put out about 27,000 lumens, my 400w hps puts out 55,000.
