Ok, just so they don't feel neglected this post, here's the progress on the DWC plants...happy with their growth so far.

And now the flowering cab, with it's newly reinforced PVC frame, and shiny new panda plastic...The white plastic up top is the light trap for the new exhaust fan...And the ducting is my intake light trap...for now.

And the inside, as well as a shot of the $20 walmart window exhaust fan...

Also a picture of the fan from the outside, and another shot of the "light trap" it's in.

And of course, no trip to the garden would be complete without some pics on the star attractions...Here's Lefty and Righty 28 full days in 12/12, starting week 5 flowering

Stay high everyone, I know I am!

Amazing bro! Its cool to see the different ways the pistils grow on each plant.
Yeah, it is crazy! And while Lefty showed her pistils first(one day early..lol) I think Righty is ahead in development. Her calyx's are swelling up nicely, but it's cool cause I think Lefty is just packing on more pistils. It's interesting, I thought all along that Righty was more indica and Lefty had more Sativa in her, just based on the growth, so it's fun to see the side by side comparison.

great update meta! beautiful bud pics, love that shit. they are looking super healthy and quite similar to my girls! (except for the lack of mildew lol).

quick question... does that $20 exhaust fan have any sort of filter? or would it be easy to add one? i'm trying to set up a better "in-take" for my box but it's gotta include a filter so the box gets clean air. thanks dude.

You know, I bet you could retrofit one of those large square panel type filters to work, you know, cut it to size and duct tape around the edges. It would have to be a flat filter, you know the large square ones...Not so sure as of right now, but i'm off tomorrow so maybe I'll hit up wally world and see what comes to mind. Hope that greencure works for ya, and maybe our girls will get a chance to play together yet!

RIght on dude! Yeah, the exhaust fan kicks ass, and now I need to fix my intake because it can't handle the amount of air the exhaust fan is moving. It's creating a lot of negative presure in my flowering cab, which is good cause it'll pull the seals and seams in tighter. This fan really is 2 x 7" fans exhausting air, and all I have is a 4" port for intake, so I need to swing by home depot or something and make an effective light trap for my intake and increase the size...But i'm happy with the way things are going so far.

Hey bro have you though of a passive intake..like a vent screen or something? Depending on which way you orient the vents, you may not need to have a light trap, sine the vent would be at the bottom. Just a thought.

I really have to improve my air circulation in my box.. That will be the first thing I do when this round of flowering is done.

Passive works, but the problem is I just need to increase the size of my intake. Like I said before, in essence I'm trying to pull 14" of air(exhaust) through a 4" port(intake)...The physics just aren't there...lol...But I love my new fan, and I'm gonna look into getting one of those large, flat, square filters for home heating and retrofit it to be an intake...But I definately need a light trap of some sort, because when I open the veg tent the light shines directly on my intake, and even though it's at the bottom of the cab, my flowering chamber is now lined with panda, so it reflects light so well it'll amplify the light coming in from the intake. I'll figure it out and let you guys know what I did, but I'm digging the exhasut fan, it really works well!

Yep, circulation is way important, and I'm still playing around with what works and what doesn't. I'm ALMOST there, but at the same time, I have big ideas brewing in my head. Since the cats out of the bag, I might just convert the room where my cabs are into 2 large grow rooms. I could just partition it into two rooms using a lot of panda and duct tape, and seal off the opening to it. Then I would make 2 doors, intake and exhaust for each chamber, and have a MUCH larger area in which to grow...I was thinking if I come back from Vegas in Apri with money, I might pick up a 600w HPS for flowering, but I dunno. Here's a couple pics, whatcha think? I mean, probably won't happen till I finish off flowering Lefty and Righty, but whatcha guys think?

If I had a whole closet to dedicate I would do it! Since you are a renter you could easily do that with the panda and tarps on the floor. Check out vids for punkoska420 on youtube. She has a sweet setup going there!

I found her looking for info on the Redwood Kush and I believe that she is out your way in SoCal. :D

Funny you should say that, I've seen her vids...Hope her little dog gets better. I think she's got a girlfriend, but if she'd have me, I'd find her and propose...lol...Girls who take it upon themselves to grow are so fucking hot!! Thats actually where I got the idea to just partition the area into two rooms, cause she did a sick ass job with her room when she put that wall up. I just figured I could do it with panda because I'm not sure the home owner really wants that area turned into a permenant grow room...But I'm working on it. Obviously I'd have to frame the partitioon somehow, but as opposed to the metal rails Punk used, I was just thinking about doing it with more PVC. I love that shit! So cheap and all the fittings and shit I need are all right there, ready to go! But yeah, mad props to PunkOSka420!!

Yeah, my ex had 3 weiner dogs, and she loved them like nothing else, so I sympathize for her. Nice of that dude to send her all the doggy diapers...lol...getting way off topic here. Anyway, it's a lot to think about, but every time I look over to my grow I'm constantly feel like I should improve upon it, and I think devoting the entire area to growing might be the next step...The only problem with that is CFL's aren't gonna be powerful enough for what I wanna do :( If I devote the entire room to growing I'm going to have to get HPS for flowering, and I'll probably pick up a T5, then I'll need to get a portable AC...I can see the price tag climbing and climbing...lol...If I come back from Vegas with $800+ I'll seriously consider it, but until then I think the CFL's will have to suffice. Anyway, soon I'll have my hands full outdoors, so I might be getting a little over ambitious with the indoor....Pipe Dreams, my friend ;)

haha I feel you on that one. I am going big (for me) outdoor this season with no less than 8 plants in the ground or in pots. Adding indoor to the mix would be fun but a little more work. One thing I thought of doing as well was taking some small pots outdoors to veg under the sun and then move them indoor to flower after a couple weeks. That would save me room in the cab and I could put both sections on a timer. But like I was saying in my thread I still don't know what the hell I am going to do. LOL

wow, 600w hps, portable ac, dedicated grow room, meta you are going big time bro! haha, but sounds good about improving intake. i'm working on a similar issue, plus the need for filtering. also gonna get some panda film, that seems better than the sun shade and the emergency blanket combined. did you order it online or pick it up somewhere? not sure where they sell it.

Brilliant!! I had never thought of vegging plants outside and putting them inside to flower! You're a freaking genius!...haha...For real, I totally don't know why I never thought of that, since I'm all like "Yeah, I should start plants indoors and move them outdoors"...So stuck in that train of thought...Way to think outside the box!! The only issue I have with that is I would have to build them their own dedicated "Outdoor to Indoor" box to flower in, because im NEVER EVER bringing outdoor plants into my indoor environment, seeing as relatively minor issues outdoors can spiral out of control indoors. Like what if you accidentially brought some nasty pest or plant disease into your indoor garden and decimated the whole crop? But if I turn the room into a dedicated grow room, i WILL have my current veg tent leftover, I just don't know where I would put it once I convert the room into a grow room...I'm rambling at this point, I obviously have a lot of thinking to do about the future of my grow...

I dunno, it all might be a stoner fantasy at this point, and with spring comes outdoors, so that might change everything. But yeah, Panda film, I bought mine at a hydro shop, just ask for panda and they know what you're talking about. It is ten feet wide, and costs about a dollar fer foot off the roll, so I spent like 8 bucks and got 80 sq. feet of the stuff, still have some leftover from the remodel on the room, which is good cause I think I wanna put a proper door in soon. But yeah, any hydro shop will have it, and it's way cheap! Also, I'll let you know how the filter works out for my pasive intake when I get one...Now that I have an active exhaust pulling air out of my tent, I now know the error of my ways. I mean, I alwyas KNEW pushing air out of the cab was less efficient, but didn't know it was that drastic...keep me posted on the updates to your cab, brother!
