First grow alaskan thunder fuck

Aren't they an 80 day flower? I would keep going as long as possible, you can use shooting powder for a full month, and they are so healthy I think they can do it no problem! But yeah, flush like a mother fucker! Do a few more days of fresh water than I originally said, I got some nice white ash last crop. And I really like it. You can experiment with using the Sweet Raw, I always recommend fucking around at least a little bit in the garden, get your own thing down. Just make sure you don't push the Sweet Raw out to far, definitely give them 4 days of water with no Sweet Raw in them.

I don't mean to make things difficult. It's hard to guide another grower, I don't know if you are selling it, or keeping it. Also, I don't know if you are more concerned with weight or flavor. All my methods give you lots of both, but the more days of fresh water you give them with nothing added, the better they taste, but the less they will yield.

bad news! gotta be outta this room in 14 days!

sad:( wanted to see its full potential!

gonna start the flush in 4 days : (
Awwwh shit!! I didn't read this. Give them to me! I'll finish them! Haha.

Jack Frost is right, you will probably have to hang them up for 3 days, if you trim them at harvest. Cruzer 101 also makes a point when he says your temps are great with co2. I haven't used co2 in a long while, and never on my own grow, but I forgot that you can have high temps and get great results.
Have you considered building a box to transport them in? I have to move in two weeks or less, so I've already begun assembling a unit to transport my plants in.

You guys can really dry your buds in 3 days? Please share.

14 days, bummer... I really love that light man. You must have some pretty rich friends. I read somewhere that the light they gave you is $7000???! That's a helluva good friend. I don't think I could get $100 outta my friends. That plasma technology sound like the future of growing. I really did think your plants look amazingly good for only being under two seemingly whimpy lights. I though if anything your plants would be whispy like LED grown buds, but yours gained a lot of weight to them also. I think there's really something to those plasma lights.

I wish my bud dried in 3 days, more like a week + for me at 50% humidity. What is your secret?

Slower is better. I drown my plants, put them into darkness, and cut/hang the whole plant (with all fan leaves) so that it will take 6 or 7 days to dry. The first few I cut, trimmed, and hung, would be crispy after 4 days in the 61 degree 21% RH room I use. My plants now taste better with 1 day of cure than they did on my first grow after 14 days of cure.

cant transport them, live on the third floor, security in my complex is too tight.
But I bet you anything if you boxed them up during the lights out period, with a plant in it's own individual cardboard box, and all your equipment boxed and wrapped up well, you could totally move them. Who cares if you walk by somebody with a box and they smell weed. They are probably not going to do shit unless they are with their kids and they are a new parent. You could always run with this idea too, you could wait until your last day to chop them down, and then lay them in a box with their fan leaves still on to protect buds, transport this one box, and then hang them up to dry the second you can. Don't put them into this box unless you know you are going to take them right back out in a few hours.

by removing all your leaves while the crop is still wet, and placing your plant into a room with perfect conditions (70 degrees, 45-50% RH) you can have your nugs dried in 3 days. It's important to hang them up as little branchlettes, rather than whole branches and stocks, extra long branches get cut into 2, or even 3. I work very closely with a grower a county over, he cuts and manicures them into nugs, and then puts them into a drying rack he made for them.

Correct. Although I personally would have a panic attack if I walked into my drying room with my temps and humidity at that, he is very correct when he says a longer drying time makes better nugs, quickly. Try adjusting your temps and RH to my suggestion above. If you can't adjust your temps, at least your RH, it should be closer to 40%-50%. But if you are getting fantastic results, stay with it, some strains just refuse to be treated like regular cannabis, I understand this very well.

The reason I don't hang up my nugs with all the leaves on is that last time I fucked it up, and I don't want to risk it again until I have a large enough crop to experiment with. I happen to be the extremely forgetful stoner, who, in the middle of a 2 week trimming fiasco, forgot 4 of his very best plants in his closet... for the whole 2 weeks and then some, do'h! If I trusted myself more I would probably do all my nugs like Rasputin does. I'm very OCD about my garden, and everything must be done using your full-ass! From first step, to the last step, I do things the hard way, the right way, the way it is exactly depicted in a book. The drying I cut a corner on to prevent another disaster. I'll definitely give it a go soon though. See if my buddy a county over is willing to give it a shot. They just finished harvesting 6 original Sour Grapes, and 6 original Face Off's.

But seriously... I'm not impressed with the Sour Grapes. The nugs smell fantastic. But the plant grows very vine-like. It's stems are long and awkward, and can not support a flowering plant, at all. The nugs are small and very tight, exactly like original Chem Dawg. The Face Off grows similar nugs, but a little bigger. I like the branching structure of the Face off A lot more, it does outrageously well when topped or trained. Sour Grapes is best off being grown as a small SOG plant with a single stock.

Sorry, not trying to hijack the thread talking about plants I'm growing.

This is a great idea. Leave em in the dark for 3 days. ;)

Yes, I need to get a small humidifier, at the very least. Maybe a 100w ceramic lamp in the room for a little bit more heat.

I am perpetual, so I usually have only 1 plant to deal with at a time.

humidifiers are cheap, definitely make it your next priority. Pick one up at walmart or CVS. I am trying to get into a perpetual deal, but I am more unorganized that I'd like to admit. I need to purchase another 400w bulb, I need to cut my numbers for a minute until I can build up my perpetual. I can't stand wasting electricity! I also really like 400w's, I have one near-new 400w HPS (used for 4 weeks) but I want to use both my lamps. I like the more even light coverage.

A ceramic lamp is a genius idea. I use just a closet to dry in, but I'm heating an entire room with a 600w heater.

I am seriously considering replacing my 600w HPS with 2 400w CMH. I too am in the process of setting up perpetual and its a pain in the ass starting it because I'm busy with other shit, lol. I spend too much time on here but at least I'm constantly learning.

I wet trim, hang single branches and it take my buds a week at 45-50% humidity and 60-70 degree temps. Sometimes longer for the biggin's.

Are you saying he cuts each individual bud off and breaks down the colas when he wet trims? Then uses some drying method?

Thx for the inputz

Yes, I have a spare 100w ceramic reptile heat lamp that might help a bit, and be cheaper than those space heaters to run.

I would add a single 400w cmh or 400w mh, if it were me. My flower box is 34"x40" and I had a 400w HPS originally. 12 days into flowering 8 plants I replaced it with a 600w. I ended u[p flowering 5 females under the 600w.

I recently dusted off the 400w switchable ballast and got a 400w MH hortilux lamp and added it to flower for 1k w total (of mixed spectrum) over 5 plants. I keep the ones in early flower under the MH side, the ones in mid flower under the HPS side, and the ones in late flower in the center. I will probably replace the MH with a CMH lamp, eventually.

You can check out pics in my journal, in my sig, if you are interested. I won't post them in his thread.

Good to hear! I have never used drip clean all the way through, I always forget like a stoner very early on. I hear if you are going to use it to not stop, because it can burn up your garden otherwise, so I usually just go with a really long flush. I just like the idea of the really long flush. But the fact that with DC and Clearex you can get a tasty end product is awesome, and I will try it very soon

I personally grab those bigger branches and cut them in half, if they have big spear nugs coming off the side of them, I usually hang those up by themselves too. My friend completely breaks down the harvest while it's still wet. He trims them and cuts them into the same sized nugs you would find jarred up. He got a plastic storage rack on close-out from Lowes for 15 bucks, wrapped it in thick black plastic, and cut a slit down the front to make a tent style door. He then put several 1/2" holes along the walls of the bottom, he put about half as many holes along the walls of the top to allow for air flow, but to try and trap warm air, he is in a frigid area. There is also bug screen on the racks to hold the nugs and let air through. I personally feel that there should be 1/4" holes along the walls of each shelf, enough for air flow, not enough for a lot of light, and each shelf should be lined with news paper. But people do things the way they want to.

woke up this morning and the string i had holding all those ones in the middle up was broken and they were all falling over, freaked me out, tied them back up then took pics, dont know how long during the night they were all bent over but hopefully the one that got pinched keeps frosting up.

How exciting. I'm sure the pinch will be fine as long as it doesn't fall over again. Keep it upright.

I can't believe how amazing that light is....
Those buds are so damn fat its ridiculous. Are you really only using that one light? Is it the strain, is that just how fat it gets?
Fucking beautiful.
