Very nice ! Question though , do they root well directly in soil and how long has it been taking? I hate waiting on clones to root in the clone dome .
well i am in no way shape or form a pro at cloaning. this is only the second time that i have done it. from what i have read it takes about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks to get roots. i am using the pete potswith the medium that will live in so all i have to do when they are rooted and ready to go back into flower is just take the pete pot and put it in a bigger pot with ffof inder and around it. right now i have then in a platic bin with a piece of platic wrap over the top to keep the humidity in. then that is inside a big cardboard box with 1 6500k 26w daylight bulb set 0/24.

when i was trimmimg the bk i put the longer trimmings in water right after i cut them off. then after i put soil in the pete pots, watered them and poked a hole in the center, i took the cutting, took off all the lower growth, dipped in hormone powder and then put them in the hole in the soil and pushed the soil up around the base. i also cut the tips off of the leaves. for some reason this is supposed to help them get roots faster.

anyways......i know that i am rambling ta ta for now.

I noticed that some of your plants in other pictures had leaves that were cut and wondered why "you" did that. I have also seen other growers do the same. I think that I read by doing this the plant does not have to work to send it's energy to those areas (less stress at a stressful time). I didn't know that it helped that energy go to the roots as well. Thanks and continue to ramble, someone is listening:leaf::leaf::finger:

That sounds spot on! cutting the leaves does really help a lot. the plant sends a signal to grow more leaves and in turn it also knows to grow more roots because more leaves are needed. just don't forget to harden them off by giving them some fresh air once or twice a day.

rock on, thanks for confirming that for me luv, and thanks for that tip, we don't want to become complacent.

Lookin great! Watched vids and peaked at a few images. +rep foo!

How many times do I have to tell you!?! The strains are crossed with a mystery bagseed. You have 50% bk, 50% ssh, and 50% jtr. All are crossed with the same father, an indica dom plant! That is, if these are the ones i sent ya! I call them Bastard bubba, bastard haze, and bastard jack. All F1's!
Can you post a pic of that bk your trimmin?

oh and aeviaanah, is it just me or does that BK bastard have a minty smell when trimming?

wooo hooo!! which ones?

I got two Chem Dogg's, and a Bubba Kush x Master kush :bigjoint:

Gotta wait to see if the BKxMK is female tho, i'll kno once i flower my party cups. The first time i cloned in soil i got 2-3, then i got 4-6, after that 0-6 lol, and now im pretty sure its gonna be 3-3. So soil is pretty easy to clone in.

Im a big Bubba Kush fan... Good luck with the clones B, I tried the Bubble gum my FIL gave me, but it died... wasn't really expecting or ready for a clone at that point. LOL

Another reason cutting the leaves on clones helps is because the long thin tips of the leaves lose moisture first and work there way back. Cutting GREATLY reduces/eliminates this. I don't have any "super-scientifical data" on WHY. But when you do the cut, it seems to almost "seal" the moisture in the leaf/plant. Things are looking WONDERFUL in here Stoner B! Great work!

my bk has no minty smell, plus you grew yours from seed. there are tons of differences when growing from an unstable strain from seed.

mmmmmm that bkXmk sounds super yummy. the mk was my very first grow, remember? ha member, you remember, member?
that mk sicc has is actually from you!

hey girl! good morning to ya. i have never tried BK (as far as i know) so this will be new to me. i hear ya, i was not planning on having clones so if they die then oh well. but i am pretty sure that they will be just fine. i checked on them this morning and they are not even wilty! i was surprised. i thought that they would look all sad. lol
