reading through this article does not specify the last 50 have abandoned but, that the workers in charge of the plant have been evacuated.
sorry. :(

maybe your own research will bring up more accurate facts. ;)

first sentence of the article says, ....

"As the four troubled nuclear reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power complex continue to deteriorate, the news is breaking this evening that workers at Reactor #4 are being forced to abandon the site, due to the risk of extreme radiation contamination."

Why did they build such a large nuclear powerplant on the east coast knowing there is a whopper fault line a hundred clicks off the coast? Pritty silly if you ask me.

Same thing here in San Deigo and the San Onofre Power Plant. It sits directly on the coast right over a fault.

gotta do what you gotta do.

not like they really had a lot of options. i think you need a MASS supply of water to run one of those things. the ocean is usually a good place to go for that. ;)

Just like here, no one wants it in their back yard. So, when they do find a place where they let them put a plant, they put in six reactors.

The Japanese people can't afford the thousands of square miles of real estate they'll have to quarantine!!
