CAN SOME ONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO RAISE PH IN MY PLANTS BEFORE THEY DIE ONE OF THEM IS LOOKIN PRETTY BAD THE PH LEVEL IS 6-6.2 PLEASE HELP BEFORE I HAVE TO SCRAP AND START OVER.:wall:

you could do your ph of your water at about 7.0 by adding baking soda to the water before you add to the plants.

6-6.2 is a good level for your ph. But if you want to change it, go to where they sell hot tubs or swimming pools. They have ph boost and ph minus. It's for large pools and tubs, though, so you don't need much to alter your plant water ph.

Ya man, pics would help a ton, I don't think PH is yer problem here if its 6.0-6.2 Thats a TAD low, but nothing that would be that detrimental to em

IMO you shouold not use products made for a swimming pool. to lower your ph all you need is cider vinager or lemon juice. i use lemon juice. to raise it, baking soda. keep it simple man. your plants will thank you.

:wall: WTF who said 6.2 was bad, this is what you do find the person who said that and tell them to go find the biggest stick they can and bring it back to you, when they do hit them with it and tell them to quite giving bad advice about something they don't know shit about and that goes for the go to the pool store WTF :wall: your not killing everything.

You ph is OK anywhere from 6 to 6.8 is fine for dirt here is a real good peace of advice, soil is good from 6 to 6.8 as long as your in that range LEAVE IT ALONE!!!!

When people chase ph it often goes wrong more time than not and soil is very forgiving so roll one and keep growing.

So how are you checking your ph??


If you just got to do something top dress with peat moss and water. Peat is around 7 to 7.2

Meh, it's all the same chemicals really. There might be a slight difference from the pool stores PH lineup and the grow shops, but it's all got pretty much the same shit going on. I personally bough the grow shops kit only cuz i was there and remembered i needed one, was only 10 bucks. Only thing i can say is to stay away from the powdered shit that raises and lowers PH, can't remember what its called.

heres some pics from a few days ago i tested the ph with a probe tester the soil was 6, i was watering with the filtered water from my fridge but when i got the ph tester i tested the water it was around 5 yikes, so i bought some jugs of purified water they tested around 7 so im going to start watering with that i think that the water ph was the problem but advise will be great i also transplanted it into a 5 gal bucket.

you should be okay now. yah 5 is a little too acidic for soil. next time you water, wait till the pot feels light, stick your finger in about 2 -3 inches and see if its still wet in there. for the next couple of waterings don't adjust the ph of that 7ph water. then after that use lemon juice (if you want its cheep, organic and it does the job) to bring it down to about 6.8 and you'll be fine. hope this helps.

Okay go to the hydro store bro and get a 17$ Generalhydro PH kit and if you want to raise the ph in your soil next time mix in sum dolomite lime it works good im running roots organic soil and its around 6.1 i added 1/2 a cup to my 7gal worth of soil it works great im around 6.8 all the time never use fridge water ever and never use tap water save your cash and get you a stealthWater RO system but other than that good luck and keep medicated!!

i like my britta water filter, its been treating me good. well i should say treating my girls good. inexpensive, simple. sounds like you already have a ph pen, just make sure that it is calibrated. they say that you should check the calibration every month or so.

i like how you have her out in the sunshine. do you leave her out all night too?

yea it is outside at night i did have a box build outside but the rain warped the door so i had to take it off plus im real tight on money so i dont have any ventalation or light

all of that is from your water being too acidic and should clear up soon now that you have it all under control. what kind of soil is that, and how long has she been in that pot? get som fox farm nutes if you want and start out with 1/4 of the nutes that the manufactuer recomends. just feed her once a week and just regular ph water the rest of the time.
