lets see... outta the fifty reggie seeds i germed.. this on caughtmy attention... dunno if its a male or fem yet, but mostly just using it to see if i have a problem doing dwc... if ican keep a plant healthy and alive in dwc, then i am content, due to the fact that i will cut clones, plant into five oz cups, str8 12/12 from clone after rooted... but hell, i may not even sex this one... i.ll prolly kill it off i can do the dwc thing and switch to a strain worth a shit...

the flower in the container with a dr.pepper bottle, and the one in the party cup that favors this container plant are flowers i started fro seed last year, cut back this winter, then strted them in my pc boxes this spring...

the ones in the wide rectangular grey container box are about 300 sprouts i got out of the mccormicks i planted last tuesday.. 7 day germ rate aint bad at all... i threw some "mystery" seeds as well.. hehe.. i know what they are, but my girl isnt supposed to knwo.. i guess she'll figure it out when they are flowering... hahhahahaha...

the spinely tall skinny one in the party cup is the oak tree i am going to bonsai.. im hoping within three to four years, i shall havea beautiful bonsai tree... lots of pruning, training, root ball trimmin, shallow wide container... etc... lol...this shall be a great floral season for me...
everything looks great homie, the hydro should be no prob for you :bigjoint:

Haha, def gonna need a bigger rez down the line, if not you'll be topping it off 3x a day! I'm on my first DWC grow, and didn't really have to start topping off my 18 gallon rez(15 gallons of water in it) till week 5, and thats 4 plants, but now I'm like 6 and a half week in and topping of every day with at least a gallon. DWC is fun so far, just picked up some bloom nutes, I chose Dyna-Gro cause they have a bunch of macronutrients as well as good NPK numbers for both veg and bloom. Not to mention they're cheap and concentrated, so should last a while...I didn't use 'em for veg, but am starting 'em with half veg and half bloom tonight and switching to 12/12...Keep it up, they grow really fast when you dial shit in.

that peat cannot stay that wet the entire time. You may need to raise it up, and put about 2 inches of perlite in the bottom of the cup. You can get root rot, slowed to no growth, or stem rot. Not trying to be a party pooper. I had it happen using peat pellets ON TOP OF PERLITE, with tomato though. The bubbles splash water very high up, and will keep the cup drenched.

i was thinking the same thing gum. i would reansplant into a cube with some hydroten or something
or break away all the peat and place into 100% hydroton or 100% perlite. That is what I had to do with my DWC tomato. It really recovered then. Before the leaves were all droopy and their texture was very moist and fraile. Just run them under your sprayer on the sink to break away the peat gently. Do it in dim light as no to bother the roots to bad. Go ahead and plant it where the top of the plant comes out of the cup, and make that tap root work for that water. I dont think preplacing the tap into the rez will speed the growth.

As for the ph pen, go to ebay. or go buy some ph test kit and drops. I dont worry with TDS, and I have well water. City water is normally very good, and you can more than likely find out what your municipalities water contains on their website.

Hope this helps. I know its new territory, so you should try and follow tried and trued techniques before you throw something new into the mix.

thanks ct and gb... i reallyjust havent had a chance to go get that stuff... so next time i get some spare change... def on the list... the peat is doing fine (so far), so fingers are crossed that i dont run into those issuesbefore then... nother reason i got a reggie seed in there... like ive said, if i can keep it alive, then i can get a mother going in it, i hope... but yup.. ph pen, rockwool, and hydroton is on my wish list... thanks for lookin guys... i got some piks to post... its lookin goood...

simple as that... like i mentioned, i am worried about the peat staying to moist... an issue i have noticed... i squeezed moist of the moisture out last night... if i have to do that every night i will. if being short and squatty is any indication of being a fem, then this may be one.. however.. not too worried about if its fem or not... prolly replaceit with a strain name feminized seed if i can keep this one alive long enough to know that i know what i am doing (for the most part at least) in dwc. dunno... still impatiently waitn on them seeds... damn you seed bank... i want em now!!! lol... holla at ya boy...

hell yeah... i am def gonna break out all the peat in the next round and replac with perilite.... thing is now, i have all those roots growing outta 1 hole so far and i have a feeling that switching out the peat now would possible shock it... maybe? i dunno... like i have said, imma see what i can do wit peat and re-evaluate when i re-do it...
