I'm just wondering about something...I have always been fascinated with weed, and I want to start growing asap. The problem is I need somewheres to grow it (which is the hard part). My mom is about 50/50 in letting me grow weed at her place if she moves which will be in a few months. Im keeping my fingers crossed that she moves, the place has a basement, and that she lets me. Anyways I'm wondering what made you all start growing, where you grow (basement/attic or at some other residence), if you live with someone, and what do you guys do say if someone comes over to visit? Like what do you tell people I guess??.........Legalize it

i guess the reason i started growing was 1st and top reason that i chose to go through the risk of growing a small grow rather than the risk of buying, 2nd i wanted to save money, and wanted to have good clean stuff consistently, hated the fuss of buying. growing at your mom's is not cool unless she accepts, even then you need to be responsible. why do you want to grow? personal? if so, how much do you smoke? will help you tell how big/risky a grow op needed...

I wanna grow because i've always liked weed. My stepdad was born in Jamaica, then he move here (NY) and he use to grow about 150-200 plants outdoors. I guess thats what turned me on to it. Also saving money part is a big deal. I would be able to smoke for free and have a never ending supply. I could also sell too for some extra cash. I use to smoke only 3-5 times a year now its about 5 times a month. Also the weed up here is only decent. I would have the best stuff if I ordered seeds. I want Kali Mist and Black Domina.

i started to grow because im facinated with the colors smells and smoke pleasure it gives me but shit i grow in a home made box but it looks like a cabinet so it gets away when my friends come over i never open it in front of them because people is scandelous ya know.... so if they pay i may have someting in the backroom lol and i be fuccin bord so shit why not............

@ 1st tymer thats how I feel bro. Im addicted to weed..everything about it. I wanna grow so bad. Watching the plants grow up from seedlings to bud it just makes me happy. Its a drug itself (growing) its way more than a hobby imo.

dude if you smoke like 5x a month, you can have s micro grow box with like 70w of power in small closet and be supplied, if you wana sell, then sky's the limit

I smoke 5x a month currently. Thats what I can afford. I would light up everyday prob if i had my own suppy ya know.

lol that eventually got me into trouble, ended up overdoing it for too long, my tolerance was so high i couldn't enjoy it, i smoked like 3-4grams/day went through anxiety and crazy dreams when i quit, i had to throw 300grams+ of my weed to be able to quit haha i only had to quit for like 20 days then went back to smoking just watching very seriously my dosage, i always take breaks like 2 weeks on 2 weeks off or so lol it's been like that for a year now, no wake n'bake ever since. just pointing out to you that for every pleasure in life there are limits right now a small 150w could supply me with more buds than i could smoke, actually considering 70w next time i grow, back then 800w were needed. you should at least know how much you intend to consume

Thanks for the tips..I prob would smoke a lil more than an eighth a week by myself. But I would share alot with friends too.

Clearly you're still young here if you're thinking of growing at your moms place. There's one thing that you have to realize first and foremost before you start
1. Your mom owns the property. If you get caught she's in equally as much trouble as you are for having a grow not to mention all of the bullshit endangerment and other charges that would be raised against her
2. Your friends should never know you grow. Every person who is aware of what you do is just another liability. You never know who's gonna get drunk and spill the beaans and before you know it your friends friends friends dad who's a cop comes knocking on your door.
3. Growing costs money. If you plan on growing for personal use you need a job to pay for upkeep on your equipment. If you plan on growing and selling to cover your costs you best be in a medical state or youre gonna rack up a list of felonies so long your head will spin

Yeaa I understand what your sayin man. I wouldnt tell anyone ik how people are...they all like to talk. We both would be screwed thats why shes not sure if shes gonna let me. I have enough money right now for all the equipment but im waiting for her to move before i pull the trigger on buying the lights, seeds, and grow tent. I bought some small stuff like some fox farm soil and jiffy cups. Just waiting to see what happens now. And yeah im pretty young still 20.

Depending on living situations your landlord can't get into trouble because you're growing weed

I grow in a wardrobe, and I think it's a pretty good way to grow, if you are just growing for you rather than selling it. It's pretty stealthy other than a small amount of fan noise, which isn't a big deal since visitors don't need to go into my bedroom anyway, and I have a locking mechanism just in case. Plus, the majority of the fan noise can be taken care if you spend a bit extra on speed controllers, silencers, acoustic ducting and an oversized fan which can be turned down more, whilst giving the same amount of airflow.

For a personal grow, a wardrobe or closet setup with a 250 or 400 hps will be fine, and can produce a surprising amount of weed. For best results, a second area for mother plants, clones and vegging will ensure you always have something ready to flower when you harvest your current crop. If you do it right, you will never have to visit dealers or pay stupid prices for weed ever again, and if you clone, you won't even have to repeatedly buy seeds, apart from when you just want to smoke someting new.

If you are still living with parents, you should make sure you have their permission, since as mentioned, there is a chance they could get fucked along with you, but if you do it right (mouth shut, and a good venting/carbon filer setup), the chances of getting caught are minimal.
