Anny what week of veg did you switch to half strength. My girls loved it at 3 weeks. They hate the Ph issue though

i'm also using the GH 3 part. i have gotten necrosis, yellowing, i am now getting spotting on some of my newer leaves. i did burn 2 of my leaves with the light. i have tried to flush them using distilled water for 3 days and now they are starting to wilt. i first used 1/4 strength GH on them, then after 1 week i moved it up to full strength. after a few days i started to get yellowing then necrosis at the tips. I started to get a sweet smell from the tent and thought it might be a salt buildup so i started to flush. After a couple of days they started to look better, so i gave them GH at half strength. my pump broke so i have been having to feed them manually but i started to get the sweet smell again and my leaves started to have problems again. now it's not just the bottom leaves, but some of the upper leaves as well, and now some of the upper leaves are beginning to spot. It looks like you are having the same sort of Ph problems I'm having

the strain i'm using is G13 x White Widow
. It appears you are having the same Ph problems I'm having

As soon as I got off work yesterday I went out and purchased to Ph up and down. I fed the girls half strength nutes at a Ph of 6. I will let you know how that are doing in a few days.

i was wondering if you have heard about dyna-grow. i have heard a few diff things i was wondering if you have read anything about it. i just bought some and was thinking that the ratios are a bit diff, but from everything i have read it has all the minerals that the plant needs and there are only 2 bottles one for grow and one for bloom.

i had some massive growth after the first week and they reached about 6 inches then i switched and i burned them, but i did go to full strength, i have now changed a few things and am now giving them a mix that only registers 89 ppm. i know that is really light and prolly too lean, but i'm afraid that there is also a salt buildup problem. if this works to bring them back i'm going to put them into pots with hydroton. if i don't see some improvement in the next few days i'm going to try dyna-grow and see if that has any effect. if they are gonna die i might as well try to get some useful data.

just checked ph and i caught a fluctuation it popped to 6.5. so i put in some ph down and it seems to be around 5.8 to 6.0. what could cause such a degree of change in 24 hours?

What style of growing are you using. And also what medium.are you using.

i'm using a dripper method of hydro currently growing in gro|dan rockwool. i stopped watering after the suggestion of over watering and it just accelerated the degradation of the plants. it was before i started to cycle the nutrient mix that i tested the water again. at that point i noticed a shift in ph, i have since dropped the ph in the solution.

seeing some improvement. the girls ( i hope ) are not wilting as much. actually they are standing up again and growing. i'm wondering should i start rinsing them everyday to try to prevent a salt buildup again? i have gotta get to the store to get some supplies ( pots and hydroton). time to move them up to a larger space for their roots, starting to get roots popping through the top of the rockwool.

Hey guys I'm back and the girls are doing better. Didn't get my darn meter until today. I went out and bought my 3 bottles of calibration solution today also. I think my last post was like Monday or Tuesday and at that time there was no way I could wait to start giving my girls correctly ph'd nutes. So I went to the store and bout some liquid Ph. Anyways my girls loved the ph'd nutes and are starting to improve while still growing. I'm somewhat satisfied at this point.

Does anyone think they are ready to transplant. Today finishes their 4 week of veg. What size pots should I transplant to? I was thinking 2 gal should be ok but I still would like to know you guys opinion

i'm planning to move mine today into 6" pots with hydroton ( expanded clay pebbles). i'll let you know how it goes. oh are you getting some necrosis at the tips of some of your newer leaves? and yes i'm trying to get a better camera, kind of a money issue.

All my new growth is looking great. I just transplanted all my girls into 2.5 gal hempy buckets. Can't wait to see these girls hit the Res.

i have switched to dynagrow and am flushing them 3 times a day with distilled water by pouring it over the base of the plants to try to wash out the rockwool. i have taken one of the plants out of the tent to see a diff in the grow pattern. the plant that i took out of the tent has been getting sunlight (behind glass to filter out UVB) for the last 5 days during the day and a 5700K and a 6500k lights at night to keep a 20/4 light cycle. i have only been giving it water to flush it out. it has grown but compared to the 3 in the tent which have been getting dynagrow at almost 700ppm as well as a UVB 50 18 inch 15watt bulbs. the growth has been much more noticeable. i discovered last night that the ph in the tent was over 7, so i used some GH ph down. the nute burn is lasting much longer on the plants in the tent and has been more difficult to clear up. but it seems that dynagrow is much better suited for this strain. i may run in to some deficiency problems but i'm planning to use the GH flora series to try to balance that out when the probs occur. but to clear somethings up i do believe that dynagrow is the way to go for MR. NICE SEED strain of G13 widow, which i have discovered is actually a cross between G13 and BLACK WIDOW. this is a very touchy strain and to be honest i was not ready for it. this being my first grow i should have gone with an easier strain.

i'm not sure if the UVB light has helped in the explosive growth in the tent but they are growing fast enough to keep ahead of the nute problems, i would assume that it is the new nutes, but i can't verify that yet, before i reintroduce the 4th plant into the tent i plan on using a dynagrow solution on it to see what happens to separate the results that i'm seeing in the tent.

however the side that is getting the UVB light is developing larger fan leaves and seem to be more resistant to nute burn ( not sure why, must investigate further).

i'm now also planning a duel grow, i found some amazing rego's, and when i looked closely i noticed that it looked like a very good strain. i have gathered some seeds from the bag and am going to try to grow them in a controlled environment to be able to identify the strain. i'm going to attempt to build a grow box to get them started, using my 6500k 35watt cfl's and mylar.

if anyone out there has any experience with this strain please help, " I need input, input..." [ short circuit and short circuit 2].
