do you use psychedelic drugs for recreation or for spirtual/religious purposes?

well what would you say if....
I used to use psychedelics substances for recreation
or to have fun.
and I was also curious but aren't we all?

well just so happens I do not use psychoactive substances for those reasons anymore.
and I am proud to say that.
and I believe any of you can say the same thing someday
you aren't because you would be preaching the same thing as me.

now what would you say if I said using a "hallucinogen" is no good
and that entheogen's CAN help you with your life and even bring you salvation at the same time?

you probably think I am making no sense....
but WHAT IF I was....

now the term "drug".... I personally do not like it.
using a "psychedelic drug" to get high off of or too use it recreationally....
that term is called an hallucinogen
basically you are looking for a "trip".

now this is what everyone needs to understand
a hallucinogen and an entheogen are the same thing...
but the thing that makes those terms different is what they are used for

LSD, Peyote, Psilocybe Mushrooms, Mescaline, Ayahuasca...etc
all of these are entheogens
they are also hallucinogens
its just how they are used.


I will say this again...
the ONLY thing that makes those two terms (hallucinogen and entheogen) different.....is how they are used.

people need to be educated between the difference of the two.
they are the same thing but if these substances are used as a hallucinogen.
and NOT as an entheogen.....you are simply abusing what it was meant for.

if a psychoactive substance is used as an entheogen...
the user is looking for spiritual healing.
guidance. peace and harmony with his brothers and sisters.
love and light.

over time we ALL have lost something that holds so much meaning to us...
its happiness, love, and peace.

why have we forgotten?
now it is up to us. those who have seen the truth
we must show our brothers and sisters what the truth is.
and to NEVER forget it.
we all must accept the truth.
because the truth is what you believe

entheogens CAN be used for the good and CAN help EVERYONE with their life.
its just a matter of time til you realize...

well said bro. i feel the same way. i just used them before to just escape but now i feel that they help me really understand myself and my mind. i truly believe that i would not be the person i am today if i were not for psychedlics and my many personal experiences with them. they will forever be held in my mind as one of the greatest tools in my life.

This, in itself has a religious connotation.

i didnt realize this until the other day...
I was scared to believe what was real.
I could only go off of what I have seen.
but that's just it...

I believe that the spirit world and the religious world are the same thing but they aren't?

I need to tell you guys this straight up .... just cause that is how I roll.
I hate Alex Grey personally. (sorry, never met him and his work does not appeal to me 2 much)
Just wanted to use 'hate'.... in a sentence for equilibrium.
I have studied Anatomy at U and played with graphic design ... for years.
When you look at most of his work ... it is loosely based on
physiological fragments of the skeleton .... with layer of different
types of systems ...
When you think about it for what it is .... it's not a big woop.

I also have trouble digesting this Man's thought process.
I have seen him bow to his knees as he kissed
Alexander Shulgins's hand.
I understand such behavior as normal across many
countries .... in 18 century maybe .... but not in
US ... and such context.

Again, I am aware .... that it might just be ME.
I fail to see genius in many things and perceive different things as such.

I am a big fan of Salvador Dali ..... and he seems perceived as odd ... ?

both great artist in my opinion but i can understand ur reason for dislikes. dalis work was pure mindfuck as where grey seems to be a tracer. he goes around the lines. he has a image hes gonna alter before he even begins. i would really dig to see what a collabo painting if someone got a good idea for one.

That is exactly what I wanted to convey ... in my outburst .... You sir have done a better job.
I studied anatomy for a long time ... so the focal point of his art ... does not strike me as original.

thanks bro. great minds think alike. and its kinnda difficult to compare artist in general since there like spices, u know. everyone likes things a little different, little more this, little more that. i would have to throw steadman and geiger in there too. its only fair.
