I got a problem and not sure how to solve it....pics included

There are 4 ice plants, 1 plant seems a little out of whack compared to the rest. It has nothing but hairs, about 1/4 inch long. It's been on the 12/12 light cycle since Feb 5. The other 3 ice plants seem a little small for this time period too but my main issue is the 4th one. It is dark green in color, has lime green veins, and the leaves at the top seem to be bunching up and have little growth. Some people were trying to help me but I didn't have pics up, so here are a few to help this time around.
















The last pic or two is of a different plant than the one I'm asking about, I just posted it to show how big the biggest plant is, the other ones are no where near this one. I don't really know how big they should be by this time. They are Ice from nirvana, they say 8 to 9 weeks till done.

Well, it sure looks like a nanner in the 2nd pic-in the middle of the flower, and also another one higher up in the same pic, although its blurry so a little hard to tell for sure, are you're plants pollinated? They will stop making buds and focus on seed production if its pollinated heavily enough.

I was thinkin the same thing. those are def. bananas. I would look close. those look pretty big and the one look as if could burst. I would check it top to bottom for more. Im sry but if she was in my garden she would be cut. even 1 banana is enough to ruin your cycle...

Making seeds diverts energy from growth, it will not completely stop it, but it will slow it down. How much depends on how bad it is. Pic 1 and 2 are hermies, you should isolate them/it immediatley.

I can find many that say the opposite. His info isnt bunk. Those threads you posted had 3 people involved, one of who was the original poster who was asking. the other link the article says quite clearly the same info you claimed was bunk. You only proved his point.

I'm not too familiar with the term nanner/banana? Does that mean it is a hermie? How can you tell that it went hermie? I'm going to try and find pics of plants that have "nanners" on them and try to see if I can see a resemblance. I always thought that if a plant turned out hermaphrodite that you would see pollen sacks on it as well. I'm pretty new to this scene.

yes, "bananas" are a sign of a hermie plant. We can tell because we can see the banana clusters.

Thanks for the info, I see what you're talking about. Yea it definitely has those on it alright. I counted atleast 10 of them, all hiding in different spots on the plant. So, my new question would be this: If it's a hermie it can self pollinate correct? And if it self pollinates, does that mean those seeds will have a higher chance of being hermie, male, or female? I've heard a few people, as well as read a few articles saying that you can get feminized seeds from a hermie, is that correct? Will the hermie produce bud? If so is it's strength lower than a normal plant? One more question, lol I have alot of them today, if the hermie self pollinates will it actually produce viable seeds as well as produce buds?

a hermie can pollinate itself, as well as other plants in the area. Seeds from a hermie that self pollinated will most likely be hermie, i would not use them. If it pollinates another plant the seeds will be either female or hermie, its debated wether they are worth using or not. I believe for the most part yes, but you need to watch them closely for signs of hermie parts. It will make bud, but the plant has to divert energy from the buds to make seeds and the hermie parts. If you pick off the bananas as soon as they appear you can keep that to a minimum, but then again that depends on how bad it hermies, it can be kind of pointless if its heavily hermied. You said you found like 10, carefully pick them off and watch it closely for more, if it keeps pushing them out all over the place it may be best to kill it. If possible i'd seperate it from the rest for now till you can make that determination.

Thanks for the info. It does make me curious as to what the possibilities are. As stated by darkdestruction the seeds would most likely turn out to be hermies as well, but by pollinating a different female plant the seeds would either be female or hermie. So does that mean it has a lower likelihood of producing male plants?

You wont get any male plants from a seed made with hermie pollen.

I forgot to tell you about dutchmasters reverse, its a product that kills any male flowers and stops it from making more. I've had success with it in the past, but it seems like it doesnt always work as ive got a plant i sprayed 6 times now and it still keeps making bananas. It is worth trying for sure. you need to get dutchmasters penetrator or saturator to use with it as well.

You would have to fertilize most of the plant before it stops growing bud! No the plant will not stop producing flowers with partial pollination, marijuana flowers for two months or more and pollinating it at the start of flowering dose not mean that is all it will produce it just means that some of it's potential energy will go into seed production. If it did stop producing then explain why if you pollinate a plant at the end of a season it will produce thousonds of seeds after it has grown the same big buds it would of if it had not been pollinated! The plant has enough energy to flower and produce seeds, hence why it produces flowers for two months that ripen at different times for the whole flowering period. What a myth that pollination will halt flowering, you need to see some bud that has been pollinated, big as any just most of it is seed, wouldn't happen if it stopped producing! And yes i do produce my own seed so yes i know. Some crazy myths about mj going round. If you do see a nanna just pull it of, you'll never get them all but you will lessen the amount of seed in your bud.
